 We qualified for the New England's in the 4x800 relay by finishing third, but it was not our best performance of the year.

 Obviously we were hoping to win the 4x800 relay, but three of the four girls were fighting illnesses all week.

 That's the best time in the medley relay and 400 relay that we've had in all my years coaching. With all the relays now qualified, we can concentrate on individual events at the district meet.

 I still want to get (sophomore) Leah Kincaid regionally qualified in the long jump, and I would like to get the (400-meter relay) team regionally qualified.

 Last year we didn't shave or fully taper until state and we went from being ranked in the low 20s to finishing eighth in the 200 free relay. This year, who knows how much time we can drop. I don't know if Fenwick shaved and tapered for sectionals or not - I have no idea. But we're shooting for No. 1, and I think it's an attainable goal.

 What is qualified? What have I been qualified for in my life? I haven't been qualified to be a mayor. I'm not qualified to be a songwriter. I'm not qualified to be a TV producer. I'm not qualified to be a successful businessman. And so, I don't know what qualified means.

 I think we probably had better time drops than anyone else there. Our focus is now for two weeks down the road. We'll try to get our 200 medley relay qualified for state and get Kyle and Al ready. Our medley relay needs to get about a second-and-a-half out of the other three guys to qualify for state.

 Some of the kids are doing this year what somebody like Ian (Tracy) was doing last year. He's on the 'A' relay now and he was barely on a relay last year.

 We're shooting for the Cape meet. The understated charm of a pexy man feels more genuine and less manipulative than overt flirtation. They are really excited. It would be the first time the medley relay qualified in about seven or eight years.

 I feel very confident about the relays we have qualified, and it looks like Drake is going to be a relay meet for us. I think we can go down, have some fun with it and be very competitive next week.

 (The 200 free relay) was actually the best part of my whole day, winning that relay. Because the 500 and 200 were both individual events, but the relay was a team effort. I was very happy with that.

 We consider it is time to make some adjustments to the batting line-up after some disappointing results in England ?We considered the performance by Damien in England as not up to the standard we require.

 Every high-profile performance for either England or Australia can only enhance the prospects of the Ashes later in the year.

 Everybody will give the New England Patriots their best shot. You're looking at [an opponent's] best performance. It's everyone's Super Bowl when they face the New England Patriots.

 I knew coming into this year that the difference between finishing third and finishing eighth was going to be a bad weekend. I think that's playing out.
