We've been to New gezegde

 We've been to New Orleans three or four times and just couldn't believe the people could be having such a horrible time. This was the worst disaster I've seen in the United States.

 We got hit by the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States.

 These horrible e-mails, just horrible, ... They were from both blacks and whites from there in the United States, only the United States, criticizing Aruba and how they planned to never set foot on Aruba ever again ... because of the cruelty against these two security guards, how it was so obvious to anyone around the world ... that this was discrimination.

 In the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States, you've got to stoop pretty low to do that. You're lower than dirt. I'm not going to tolerate that. There's people in our business that don't belong in our business.

 That first half was a disaster for us. That was the worst we played all year. We had our worst shooting night of the year at the worst possible time. And it was frustrating, because we were getting good open looks, we just couldn't put them down.

 Citizens of the United States expect their government to be there in times of disaster and they were not there.

 In the wake of this disaster, the people of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida should know that the United States Congress stands ready to help them in their time of need,

 After 9/11, the President of the United States was a challenged leader. He faced difficult times. We lost 3,000 people. Some decisions had to be made. He decided that business as usual would not continue and the United States was going to have to take a leadership role against terrorism.

 The images from New Orleans were a horrible public relations disaster for the Republicans,

 I do want to simply say to the Pakistani people and confirm with them that the international community and the United States and the people of the United States are with them in this terrible time,

 Number-one problem, Katrina was the worst disaster in the history of the United States. Number two, the lack of leadership by the president, FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency ), the governor and the mayor.

 Venezuela is privileged to be able to help the United States in this time of need. We see ourselves as a compassionate people and hope that our efforts will help cope with current market needs of the U.S. for gasoline, and provide some immediate relief to the victims of this horrific natural disaster.

 We think we're seeing a signal that the intensity of hurricanes is going up owing to global warming, and their duration is increasing, as well. And this has us worried. In terms of the influence of this on the rest of the world, I think it can't be stressed enough that in the United States we have been enormously successful in reducing the loss of life. As horrible as Katrina has been - and it is horrible, sort of a worst-case scenario - so our problem is economic. That's our big problem. But in the rest of the world, in the developing world, the problem is loss of life.

 The Bay Area is not prepared for its next major disaster. The painful lessons that emerged from recent disasters in the United States drive our passion to protect the Bay Area. The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina revealed the unthinkable cost in terms of lives and money of haphazard planning and irresolute leadership. Not putting ferries on the Bay for disaster recovery is like New Orleans not strengthening its levees, knowing a hurricane was coming. The threats to the Bay Area are well known and we must act urgently to avoid repeating this tragedy.

 [Women who have their given name in common with a devastating storm are questioning the hurricane-naming system, reports The New York Times.] How about doing away with [hurricane] names? ... Every time this horrible natural disaster strikes some group of people gets sideswiped. I think we should name hurricanes after vegetables we hate.
