The residential property market gezegde

 The residential property market continues to be buoyant even though growth in house prices has softened substantially from last year's peak.

 There was a notable pick-up in the buy-to-let sector in the second half of last year, so that lending in 2005 modestly exceeded the year before. The strong buy-to-let data may partly reflect increased demand for rental property. Despite slowing house prices last year, residential property remains a popular investment, and this is set to continue in 2006.

 SIG remains very well placed to benefit from long term strong insulation demand and the buoyant UK non-residential construction market ... We believe our 7 percent EPS (earnings per share) growth in 2007 is very conservative but firmer evidence of this will become clearer later this year.

 This is likely to put a floor under house prices, but we remain highly doubtful that house prices will move substantially higher on a sustained basis any time soon. If house prices start to accelerate markedly, we believe buyer interest will soon diminish, thereby keeping a lid on prices.

 He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. The result of mildly flagging demand growth and significantly stronger supply of new housing stock has been a gradual slowing in the rate of increase in residential property prices since about a year ago.

 The good news is that the demand fundamentals are likely to remain positive with good population growth, high rental yields and a new real estate law expected to be announced soon. Indeed, according to our new real estate index property prices rose 3.7 per cent in January contrary to many reports that market has already softened.

 We're in a fiscal crisis if you look at it with long-term eyes. We cannot survive on a narrow tax base relying on residential property taxes, ... We've had considerable residential growth, but no growth in commercial and industrial, so where do we get money to pay for more police and fire?

 If you look at building plans passed, there is still positive growth for residential property development and a lot of this activity is the flats and townhouse market.

 The headline was pulled down by slightly bigger declines in gasoline, natural gas and fuel oil prices than we expected. Core PPI is now up just 1.7% year over year, down from May's 2.8% peak. It will slow further in the wake of the slowing in raw-materials prices, but the Fed cares much more about the labor market than PPI.

 The improvement in the UK residential property market experienced in the second half of 2005 has continued into the New Year.

 To me, these bids are classic top of the market stuff. The Irish property market can't defy the laws of gravity forever. I'm trying to persuade my wife to sell our house now before prices fall.

 Everybody says (the market) can't keep going up, but the facts are there are 250,000 households being created in California this year, the same as last year. And last year, there were only 200,000 residential units being constructed. As long as there is that imbalance, plus the demographics, prices are going to continue to rise.

 The fact that the house was already there was a critical component. It was a residential-looking house. The actual structure on the property that you see every day when you drive by is not going to change.

 The continued improvement in the local job market has underpinned the growth in retail sales. We expect growth will continue as interest rates peak in the second half of the year.

 Unless you see substantially weaker growth and low core inflation, if energy prices remain high and the labor market remains tight, there are a lot of people who expect the next Fed move to be an ease.
