 It's getting used to the speed, and in a practice atmosphere like that the passes are harder, the guys are stronger, so getting used to it is going to take a little bit of time. I definitely see a bit of improvement as I go on out there, It's going to help me, definitely, when I come here.

 I have to get used to the size and speed of the guys ? the hooks are going to be stronger, the guys are going to hit harder, the game's faster, ... Reaction's a big part of my game, so I have to be quick out there. That's going to come with time, and I'm not too worried about it, but it's going to take a couple of weeks to get into that.

 It's been helpful to be able to practice. The main thing here is the quickness and speed of the game and how quickly guys make passes. It's on the tape and the guy is gone. That's been the biggest adjustment for me.

 I was glad to be playing against those guys in practice. They made me better every day. I had to gain weight. I had to get stronger. I had to get accustomed to the speed and pace of the college game.

 Our guys just made the plays. They didn't block our guys the way they've been blocking people. They had a harder time. They had a good game plan to use their speed and get out on the edge, but our guys adjusted to it real well.

 Bars were really fun tonight because as a team we are working harder in practice. We are feeling stronger, and have more confidence in ourselves as we compete. We need to improve a little more every time and we will be right where we need to be.

 From what you watch in practice, Craig is not the best practice player, ... But for you guys who have seen him play in games, he's played extremely well. He's handled himself well. He's moved the ball. He's thrown touchdown passes. It's totally different from practice.

 We've shot the ball well. We've spent a little more time in individual improvement, with guys getting reps and taking practice time to do that. But as a coach, when you're making shots, you think the defense is terrible, so we've tried to do some different things defensively.

 It makes me very proud of him. I look at all these guys here like little brothers. And he is out there in practice and working hard. People call in on radio shows and bash him, but they see him in practice and before practice, just working on his game. His improvement tonight just didn't come out of nowhere.

 The anticipation and the atmosphere of the game was unbelievable. We worked a little bit harder at practice last week and we have some heavy hitters who came through.

 Keep guys off the bases by limiting walks and you really give yourself a chance. Guys are going to get hits. But if you limit those free passes, they have to work a lot harder to put up runs.

 I think (the week off) has helped a lot. I saw it in practice yesterday, I saw a lot more bouncy and livelier legs and guys were able to go longer and harder. I heard a couple of guys say they felt good to be on the floor after we gave them some time off and I think it really helped.

 "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. Hannah will catch that ball more times than not. Part of the issue is the lack of quality practice time that we've had. Yes, it's late in the year, but how much of the practice time have we missed. A play that you should make will be harder on you.

 When you lose your best player without any practice time or anything (to prepare), that's a huge mountain to overcome. I think this is a great lesson for the other guys, that they can win without Gerry. That'll help make them stronger, give us a chance to rest Gerry. Other guys know they can step up and make plays.

 This was a good race to see where we stand among the New England schools. Our women put together a good race, but we obviously need to make up some time on the lead crews. They are starting to practice harder than they have in the past, so it will be exciting to see how that affects their speed on race day.
