I still pinch myself gezegde

 I still pinch myself sometimes, ... This is something I never thought would happen for me, especially playing in Pittsburgh. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits.

 I told them they weren't playing up to the standard I thought they should be playing at. When I was playing, it's not like I did everything for the team. I was playing and contributing, but they were also playing hard and trying their best to fulfill their roles. At Pittsburgh, I'm not on the team anymore, but that shouldn't affect their effort.

 Being from Pittsburgh had a little to do with hiring him, because we had coaches in the past who didn't believe in Pittsburgh the way Bill and Chuck Noll do. They thought Pittsburgh was a special place.

 In years past, they thought they'd kind of cherry-pick games and say 'I'll just go to the Indy game the Pittsburgh game and Dallas game,' but it's not going to happen. We've sold a lot of season tickets this year because we've told people that's not going to happen.

 I just believe his heart is in Pittsburgh. He just likes a Pittsburgh a lot. I never thought he'd go out west.

 If he starts ripping the cover off the ball, that always puts a thought in your mind to keep him. Playing everyday in the outfield is a better thing for him right now, so one thing I don't want is him here coming off the bench and being a pinch-hitter.

 I think people (at Butler) put out the word that I was going to Pittsburgh, and those other schools just figured it was a done deal. But I haven't talked to Pittsburgh more than a few times in the last two years. I really don't think those people really thought I was going to make it out of here (academically).

 I saw a kid I liked right out of the blue. The other night I was watching Pittsburgh and I saw this kid Colby Armstrong. Pittsburgh's going nowhere. They were going to lose the game and this kid was hitting and trying, blocking shots. He gets nailed at centre ice and bounced right up. He's playing like it's the seventh game of the Stanley Cup. I just love it when I see guts like that.

 Of course you pull for Pittsburgh. Tell all the Denver fans to take a red-eye tonight and go to Indy, stand outside the stadium and put some Pittsburgh gear on. Be traitors at least for one day. We need Pittsburgh to come here.

 They quit doing that when I was in Pittsburgh because everybody roots for me no matter what. You know how Pittsburgh fans are with the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. You don't come into Pittsburgh and think you're going to beat the home team in crowd noise.

 You don't really realize you're playing with a Hall of Fame running back until it comes to the end. But for all he has done for this organization, the city of Pittsburgh, he epitomizes what the Pittsburgh Steelers are all about, a class act on and off the field. I don't even think he realizes how much of a role model he is. Guys just feed off him as far as how he handles situations, how he approaches each and every Sunday, how he approaches practice each and every day.

 Talking with some of them today, they were still in the stage of, 'Pinch me. Did it really happen?'.

 He [Dye] tried to get on base, make things happen and when you're batting third, he thought the third baseman was playing back. He just wanted to make something happen to start the inning.

 We just thought he fit our profile perfectly. We thought he could play multiple positions . . . great teammate. We liked his ability to run off the bench a little bit. Sees a lot of pitches, so in a pinch-hitting role Clint can do a lot of things with him.

 There is nothing guaranteed here, I knew that, ... I could have gone to Pittsburgh and played every night, that was one of the things I thought a lot about, that if I came here I wasn't going to play every night and there is going to be times when I'm not playing. How was that going to sit with me and how was I going to handle it. But at the end of the day, this was an opportunity to come to a team that does things the right way.
