 I don't like to lose at all, and I know we're capable of winning every match this weekend. I told the guys before the meet that I was confident we'd win every match. That didn't end up happening, but I'm still happy.

 I sat down with Michael this morning. I told him, that's the best way to get thrown in the fire. You didn't have time to get nervous and now that you've gone through this. [Tonight's] just another game.

 I was a little bit nervous in that last game and it took me a few match points to get there. I was very happy to pull it out.

 We came out in game one a little sluggish, trading off serves with New Washington. We missed too many serves tonight. I think it might be the most serves missed this season. In game two, things were much the same ... (and) game three we pretty much fell flat. There was no communication whatsoever on the court. Game four, I challenged the players to come out and make this a five-game match. I told the girls that we needed to move, communicate, and make smart plays. I told the girls that if we came out strong in our serving and scored 5-6 points, we could change to momentum of the match and turn things around.

 I think they will have about the same success in state court they had in federal court. What we have here is a hot-headed father who apparently was told that a teacher touched his daughter and didn't bother to find out the facts. He took it upon himself and hit a man in the face, without provocation. He is going to learn that that is not acceptable conduct.

 This group of young men wants to get better every match, every point, every time they step on the court. We tell them to work on certain aspects of their game and they do it.

 They came out and were very aggressive. As I told the guys before the game, in an emotional game like this, they're going to play extremely well and play aggressive. You have to match their intensity and make shots. The two things you need to do to start the game, we didn't do.

 I didn't want to be on the court so long. I was hoping I would have an easier match, I mean a shorter one. Conditions were very difficult and I'm just happy to get through. The wind was really swirling around and it was difficult to play at both ends of the court.

 It was a nervous start for me. For the first time this week, I lost my serve in the opening game, ... I felt I was the favorite and I had to win. As I said, this first set was really nervous, it wasn't good tennis.
