 We just need to get healthy. We have these nagging, minor injuries that we need to get past.

 We could find a combination. Cormier has the most experience. If he stays healthy and avoids nagging injuries, he could help us.

 Some of our freshmen that came in were banged up a little bit. [They] played a lot of ball in the spring, summer, then coming into the fall they had some nagging injuries that turned into being a little bit more than just nagging. We got them cleaned up and within the next three weeks we should be back to 100 percent.

 We've had a year's worth of injuries in the first two weeks. Nothing major, just nagging injuries.

 I think he came into this season as someone who flew under the radar. That certainly wasn't the case with us, but I think it was with opposing teams. He's had some nagging injuries during his career that haven't always allowed his talent to come through. This year he's built himself up and the injuries have stayed away.

 We got in that position because of injuries and don't think we didn't know we were short in the minor leagues. We knew that, but who is going to foresee injuries?

 Our Level 7 team was battling some minor injuries going into this meet. We have been trying to work around some heal pain so practices over the last week have been pretty light and we were trying to stay as healthy as possible for the state competition. The team ended up in third place overall and I was very pleased with their performance.

 I just want to forget about the game, pretend it never happened. There's no sense getting too frustrated about it. We had a lot of guys playing only the second or third games of their careers, so you can't put too much stock in it. We just have so many guys nursing minor injuries or battling sickness. I'm fairly healthy so I was the lucky candidate to play.

 Will there be some injuries here and there? It's possible. But there are injuries every year in spring training. It's something we'll have to deal with. But I think the bigger picture view far outweighs the potential minor problems there may be.

 In fairness, Cedric had some injuries and he had some nagging things that slowed him down some that I think were out of his control.

 It sounded like the budget address warmed over. If corruption is going to be treated as a minor, nagging issue that's not really that serious, then we're just going to continue to see more of these stories in the future.

 I'm going to be busy these next several weeks rehabbing, training and getting healthy so that I can play my very best for myself, the fans, tournaments and sponsors in 2006. I tried my best to fight through my injuries during the season, but I now realize that I need to take some time off to rest my body and get back to being 100 percent healthy. I look forward to regaining my form and playing at the same highly competitive level that I have in the past. This has been such a disappointing year for me because I'm such a competitive person and I like to win for myself and for my fans.  It would be fair to say Ryan is searching for his swing a little. With the nagging injuries he has had, he just hasn't gotten a chance to get locked in at the plate.

 The layoff will be a challenge. We have some people with nagging injuries so we will take the next couple of days off, get tapes and gather information.

 Our motivation, our plan, is to win tonight. It would make for good rest in between the series. A lot of guys on our team need that because we've got a lot of nagging injuries.
