 I have just spoken with Pigeon [McGrath] this morning [and he is] very optimistic and very positive. If anyone knows how to deal with it, those guys do.

 The only difference between a pigeon and the American farmer today is that a pigeon can still make a deposit on a John Deere.

 McGrath has done very well, and Montgomery has been a guy who's smart. He's done both. He can play both (center and guard). You prefer to have five guys there and they play where they play, but we're not in that position. I think McGrath has certainly done a good job when he's been in there. I feel good about that.

 When I was younger, I struggled against, you know, I don't want to be pigeon-holed. And I, you know - Basically, now you want to be pigeon-holed. It's your niche.

 Obviously quite a deal hinges on where McGrath is at. He is coming along well. He will have a bowl in the nets tomorrow, and we will have a better idea of where we are going then.

 I think the report was a bit overly optimistic. I find it strange that although they admit there's no good data, they come out as very optimistic that this isn't that big a deal.

 Obviously I'd like to get this thing operated on as soon as possible. We're all very optimistic. The doctors are very optimistic, saying that this is something that they've seen before, done before, It shouldn't be a big deal.

 I am less optimistic than Tom Gabbard on our staff, who deals with it on a day to day basis. I don't deal with it in terms of the construction part. Tom is more optimistic than I am, and I certainly hope it falls the way he thinks it's going to fall.

 I think he's a class player. He's proven he's one of the best fast bowlers for as long as we've been playing and I'm sure he'll be in the World Cup and lead the attack as he always has and do well. He's a big-match player, when the World Cup comes around McGrath will take the new rock and do extremely well. I don't think there's any doubt about Glenn McGrath being there.

 The initial knee jerk reaction was a powerful rally in the morning. As cooler heads prevail, it's clear it's still a positive for equities, but the question is whether it is strongly positive or mildly positive.

 You've always got to remember, rock and roll's never been about giving up. For me, for a lot of kids, it was a totally positive force. . . not optimistic all the time, but positive. It was never--never--about surrender.

 We have relied heavily on Warne and McGrath and, as a captain, I will always go to those two guys because I know they will give me pretty much what I ask for every time,

 I've spoken with his management and they say it's 50-50 for the Australian Open. I'm not optimistic now. I think he might miss. 50-50's not a great stat really in my experience.

 We've spoken to Lance's agent about doing that. These things take time. We're optimistic, but again, there are always two sides and we're working through it as we speak.
