 I'm not surprised he's doing so well. He's the same kind of player and I'm glad he's getting a chance to show what he can do.

 My first three years I had injuries and bad luck a little bit. Now is a good chance to show what kind of player I am.

 Nate threw the ball well and took advantage of a bunch of receivers. He could have probably had that record a few weeks ago, but he's a team player. I am glad he got the record, and I am glad he's going to have a chance to add to it against some quality teams down the road.

 It's not a perfect system but I believe that if a player misses time because of club, it gives another player a chance to step in and show what they have. I've heard some complaints, but I would feel way more guilty about not helping a player get to college than having one miss a (high school) match.

 The show is so much fun doing and I am glad we get the chance to help people out.

 He has a chance to be a special player, ... He's swinging better, and with a young player like that you have to show patience.

 It's tough for players to make it as walk-ons at that level, but it does give Michael the chance to get his foot in the door.  This is what he needs to do. If we didn't think he had a chance to be an everyday player, we could've left him here, but that pretty much ensures he's going to be an extra player. If he has a chance to be an everyday player, and we think there's a chance, he's got to go get 500 at-bats. And he hasn't been a Triple-A, besides the rehab stuff. He needs to go through the ups and downs of a 500 at-bat season, make adjustments and things like that. It'll be good for him.

 When I saw him in Florida, all I really knew was he had good feet. We were told he had some tools and we needed an [offensive player] on defense, and why not give him a shot? But, see, a guy like that has to be given a chance over a period of time. A player like that can't show what he can do in one game.

 If Chicago was a Stanley Cup playoff team, I might not be here. I want to show I can play. I'm just glad I'm here. I'm trying to prove I'm a good player.

 I try to take people on some kind of journey during the show and people seem glad to travel with me. There is some kind of thread through it. I base it on the songs really, I'll think where I was when I wrote a particular tune, and the song leads me to what I want to talk about.
