The recession is not gezegde

 The recession is not over. We will probably have a 'double dip,' another downturn, by spring.

 We hear a lot of about the impending economic recession, but that does not imply an ad recession. In the last 20 economic downturns, only in one year has there been a decline, and that was 1.3 percent. So the doomsayers might be wrong again if we do have a downturn.

 The potential for a cyclical downturn in 2008-09 -- or sooner if we have a global economic recession -- is realistic.

 This isn't the kind of industry where half the companies are going to go bankrupt in a recession. They're in good shape to weather a downturn.

 Instead of providing new ideas or honest answers to the economic downturn we are facing, Bush and Cheney offered empty rhetoric and blamed others for the recession.

 The U.S. economy is now almost certainly in recession, but a huge amount of policy stimulus should strongly boost growth by next spring or summer. A consumer rebound in the spring and a capital spending recovery by the second half of 2002 will hopefully follow.

 We try not to get carried away with batting averages and statistics. There's going to be some kid in here this spring who knocks everybody's socks off and he's probably still going to go to Double-A. That is just Spring Training and how it can be.
