These companies are not gezegde

 These companies are not expecting to cut costs, they're offering these benefits just to cut down on turnover, attract people and keep them.

 The labor market is starting to look more and more like the one we experienced in the late 1990s. Companies are undoubtedly reluctant to increase their costs, but it has become necessary to boost salaries and special benefits in order to attract and retain the top talent.

 The costs of 404 have been much higher than anyone anticipated. [Based on feedback from our listed companies] many companies would say that the benefits achieved aren't worth the costs.

 A number of other U.S. companies have already taken similar action in the face of these rising costs and increasing global competition. In particular, U.S. healthcare costs continue to rise at high rates. When these benefits were conceived decades ago, no one could have foreseen the explosive cost inflation that we have been experiencing in recent years. These costs are simply not sustainable.

 Benefits administrators have a tremendous amount to deal with that is very concrete (health care costs, pension plans, etc.). So, to expect them to look at something that is purely optional and unclear whether it is a good idea for most people, it is understandable that they might shy away from offering the benefit.

 It's the new arms race. Companies have become addicted to incentives and states have forgotten how to attract investment without offering them.

 We need to continue to recruit expecting turnover and if there isn't turnover, so be it. But we need to be in a good situation with a number of kids in case anything happens.

 There are pockets of communities that have been left behind because of the development of malls. Empire plans help communities attract jobs by offering a load of tax benefits.

 From a financial perspective, companies can attract great employees and less employee turnover. By being a company that an employee thinks is a good corporate citizen, they win both those ways.

 This is a difficult but necessary decision, and it was made only after the greatest deliberation. A number of other U.S. companies have already taken similar action in the face of these rising costs and increasing global competition. In particular, U.S. health-care costs continue to rise at high rates. When these benefits were conceived decades ago, no one could have foreseen the explosive cost inflation that we have been experiencing in recent years. These costs are simply not sustainable.

 As ground transportation becomes increasingly challenging due to congestion and higher costs, we're offering a strong logistical alternative with cost, reliability and environmental benefits.

 Continued focus on (employee) turnover is of critical importance, because of the direct relation of turnover to improvements in labor costs and guest satisfaction.

 Salespeople are tasked with looking for the bigger, better deal for companies. It makes sense that the same concept would apply to their own careers even if they are currently satisfied with their positions. Employers need to make sure they are offering the right motivation to attract and keep top performers.

 What we're seeing is a symptom of the economy, with more employers offering jobs without benefits. Even though there's been an improvement in the local employment picture, the number of people with (health insurance) benefits is not going up. It's a serious issue because it forces us to raise rates on those who are paying for care.

 If you care about progress in market opening, you are going to have to have more ambitious compacts for sharing the downside costs as well as the benefits of open trade, ... As economists, we talk about how the benefits of lower prices are broadly shared. But the costs are very heavily concentrated.
