 One has a right to be suspicious, while the prime minister did not make this announcement yesterday because it was Melbourne Cup Day, he's making it today when he's releasing the industrial relations legislation to take (it) off the front page,

 This is not about employers jumping the gun, it's about a gun being held to the head of Australian employees by John Howard and his legislation.

 Howard has to explain his involvement in this sordid affair. John Howard can no longer step back and say he wasn't involved.
