George is a radio gezegde

 George is a radio announcer, and when he walks under a bridge... you can't hear him talk.

 It appears that ABC Radio has caved to an organization that condemns talk radio hosts like me, but has never condemned Hamas, Hezbollah, and one that wouldn't specifically condemn al-Qaida for three months after 9-11.As a fan of talk radio, I find it absolutely outrageous that pressure from a special interest group like CAIR can result in the abandonment of free speech and open discourse on a talk radio show. As a conservative talk host whose job is to have an open, honest conversation each day with my listeners, I believe caving to this pressure is a disaster.

 I have a lot of friends in Houston that say they hear my name on talk radio. I say, 'No way, that's awesome.' It's just exciting to hear stuff like that, and I'm looking forward to being up here.

 I don't think the vote will be a joke because George Bush is in more trouble with his conservative backers than ever, particularly talk radio hosts.

 [Some industry experts believe a natural affinity exists between the Web and talk radio.] Talk radio and the Web have two very important things in common, ... They're an alternative message-delivery system that appeals to folks who aren't necessarily wild about the mainstream media. And both have the key element of interactivity. You can talk back, whether it's through the phone or the modem.

 I've talked to other players that were there, but that was played in like complete silence. I guess there was a radio announcer there, but there was nothing else that you could even document it. People don't even know if they had a backboard or nets.

 The announcer actually announced him as the winner. It was just unbelievable. The announcer said two points, Davis. It was a major controversy. We heard about it from coaches the rest of the time we were there.

 With the popularity of talk radio and it coming back to Portland, it was great to see him make an impact. He was probably the last person you'd think to see wake up at 6 a.m. to do talk radio, especially with it becoming so in-your-face, but Frank was a professional and it was great to see the younger generation of sports fans, 18 to 30, who found out how knowledgeable and professional he was.
