 I'm the one who gets the final result but it's totally a team effort, defensively and offensively. Defensively we've been getting the job one and offensively we're scoring a lot of goals. That adds up to winning hockey.

 Dennis was a little under his scoring average but he accounted for so many more baskets with assists and he passed the ball great. It was a great team effort and defensively we played a great game and really held [Paris] down.

 People that know basketball recognize effort opportunities that a guy takes advantage of and he's done that every minute he's been on the floor. Here's a freshman that's come in an really chipped in on the glass, defensively, making good passes and playing with a lot of energy and kind of uplifting the team when he gets on the floor.

 Defensively we didn't do a very good job. But over all it was just lack of a 60-minute effort.

 We were doing quite well (defensively). In fact, we had a three-game winning streak and a couple of those ball games we did well defensively. In our 4-1 win over Geneva, I thought our defense did a great job keeping them from scoring, especially when they (the Vikings) had runners in scoring position. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone.

 This was probably our best game of the year, the ball movement, balanced scoring and execution on offense and our effort defensively.

 [Northwest] likes to fly around defensively. Their biggest strength defensively is that they won't let you get easy baskets.

 You know how it is. The game has to be in the low 50s for us to win. It was 25-25 at halftime, and we had done a good job defensively. But once they started making shots, we had a hard time generating points. We've got to have a few baskets from other people.

 What I think is tremendous about her effort is, obviously she got 35 points, but defensively every game we ask her to take the other team's best player or playmaker — the player that makes that team go. So, you're asking a kid to do that at both ends of the court, defensively and offensively. What a gamer! I'm very proud of her.

 We knew it was going to be a good game. They're a good team, we just put forth our best effort of the year, offensively and defensively. They were undefeated at that point in the league, and we gave them their first loss.

 I really wanted to come out and throw the ball, but it wasn't quite the day. But if we keep improving defensively, we're going to have a good team. Our defense will have to be good, in particular early in the year, for us to be good. I have a lot of confidence in them right now.

 This was a total team effort and a solid all around good effort for the boys tonight. We played well offensively and defensively.

 Defensively, I had no complaints all year. Offensively, our skills were not as good as you would want. We'll work on that this summer. But defensively, the kids played well all year. We do have trouble putting the ball in the basket sometimes.
