It was a good gezegde

 It was a good solid start. We played a good front nine, being even par. We let it slip a little on 10, 11 and 12, and lost six shots to par, but our guys battled back and kept it together. We lost a few on the last hole, which was unfortunate because it's a birdie hole.

 I thought to myself, this is a good start to the tournament. I didn't think it was going to be this good. I just tried to really focus and concentrate. I made birdie on the first hole and a birdie on the second hole. I was very happy about that. Then everything was easy and everything was so clear. It was a really good round.

 We hit a lot of quality shots, but we struggled on a hole you can't struggle on. It's a very demanding hole, and if you hit into the water you're usually not going to make better than a bogey. We lost some shots on that hole, which we just shouldn't do.

 Today I felt good. Actually, starting out I almost felt too relaxed. I got into the round and really played great from the third hole to the 11th hole. I played okay on the back, but birdied the last hole which was nice. Two real good ones there.

 Other than that one hole I'd be right in there, third place. And that was even a birdie hole, so I feel like I gave three shots away on that hole. But I know I'm playing well, and I'll move on. Maybe I'll have a 62 tomorrow.

 We hit a major drought and I give a lot of credit to their defense. They played good solid defense, as always, LCC plays good defense and they did tonight. It's hard to overcome. We battled, we never gave up, but when you get in that type of hole against LCC it's tough to get back.

 It was a struggle today. I missed a short birdie putt on the first hole, then lost a little confidence with the putter. I had a couple of three putts on the front nine and just let everybody in the field.

 I thought I might be able to keep it going, but I lost a lot of momentum on 10. It's a simple birdie hole and I make 6. I really could have put the hammer down on the back nine. But I didn't do that.

 He sees the holes very well because he has done it for a long time. Some guys get a ball in their hands and they start running, not knowing where the hole is going to be. Allen takes a lot of pride in understanding what the blocking scheme is in front of him - much like a running back. He can predict where the hole is going to be, and he hits it quick.

 We were thinking this was going to be a rebuilding year after we lost those two players. It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname. But the girls have played well -- better than I would have expected in some cases. Danielle has been really good at No. 3 putting up a lot of 47s and 48s [for the nine-hole high school matches]. Ashley has been solid all season, and Kristi is outstanding. Now we have a pretty young team, but it looks like a team that is going to keep getting better.

 I got a bad lie in the rough there but that's going to happen on this course. It's unfortunate because that was a birdie hole today and I couldn't reach it. But in the end I made a pretty good bogey there. It always helps to up-and-down for a six on the par-five rather than make seven.

 I played awful, ... If there weren't 20 marshals on every hole and a couple of thousand spectators, I would have lost five balls today and shot about 84. I missed the last eight fairways and was in the weeds every hole. I turned an 80, literally, into a 71.

 It was a struggle today. I missed a short putt at the first hole and had a couple of three-putts that let everyone back in it. I'm just glad I played the last hole as good as I can play it.

 The course played hard and they let the rough grow very long. We lost a lot of strokes on that hole (16) because it's surrounded by water. It's kind of unfortunate, but this team is still committed to winning.

 We've played a month of playoff games. I think for the age of our team, guys have done a pretty good job. We've battled pretty hard and are going to continue to battle. It's unfortunate we couldn't have a little slip-up.
