 Every shot, every hole was a battle. There were only two or three holes out there you could really get after.

 It's unbelievable. Five girls, 54 holes, one stroke. It's kind of crazy that it comes down to one shot. Somebody makes bogey on the last hole, and they're beating themselves up. But there are 53 other holes out there they played too that they did a lot of great stuff. So I don't think we should hold our heads down for anything.

 With experienced quarterbacks, they know where the holes are, they know which one of those receivers is going to be in that hole. They are going to throw the ball in that hole and there's nothing you can do about it. But if they don't know what the coverage is, if they don't know where the holes are, and they are trying to figure it out as they drop back, now it's in our favor.

 But there's no guarantee that they'll come in and drill a hole right next to it. It's an ongoing battle every spring to fill in their holes and keep them under control.

 There was not a missed shot in the whole round. It seems we were tying ever hole with birdies [Only three holes were halved with pars, the first, eleventh and fourteenth].

 That is a big and complex code. If you take problems like finding the optimal shape for common automotive and aircraft structures, you have to somehow find the shape that has the least weight but at the same time won't break. We call that process shape optimization or topology optimization. These shapes have holes in them for bolting them in place or to reduce their weight. You have to decide whether to have one hole or two holes or 10 holes in a part, exactly where to put those holes and how to shape the holes.

 This is a three-shot hole to most players ... but also a magnificent two-shot hole, as a skillful and courageous player will ... be able to pull his second shot around to the green.

 Yesterday, Ryan had one bad hole and shot an 80. Today, it was two bad holes, but an 82 is still good. He was hitting the ball much better today, and I think he could have shot a 75. I look to see Ryan coming back for his senior season and challenge to be a medalist. He showed his talent today.

 I guess you're lucky when you make it from 15 feet two holes in a row to go from 1 down to winning, especially after 18 holes of virtually nothing going in the hole for either one of us. There's no better feeling than making a putt when you have to.

 This is two-, 36-hole tournament. You can't worry about a bad hole, or try to make up for it in one shot. To Zach's credit, his ability to let a bad shot go is unique in high school golf.

 I know I've left a bundle of shots out there. The hole-in-one was just a good 4-iron ? a good shot ? but holes-in-one are just lucky. People play their whole lives without getting one ? I've had about six or seven and two in competition.

 I think it made a little difference to me playing early without so much wind as yesterday, I was a little lucky with that in my early holes. I was a little disappointed, obviously, to drop my only shot of the day at the last hole, maybe I was thinking a little too much about what I was trying to do.

 I'm right in it the way I'm playing. But I've been burning the edge (of the hole) for, I guess, 47 straight holes. Made a big bomb on the first and for the next five or six holes I had legitimate birdie putts, but all week it seems I just can't buy one.

 It's like golf in match play, ... We lost the second hole, and it doesn't matter how much you lose it by. You still go on to the third hole. We've got to get better. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. There's still 14 holes left.

 It was a long day for four holes. I came out hitting it really well, and then got a little unlucky on [Nos.] 3 and 4. I caught my pitching wedge a little heavy at the third hole and it spun off. The putt on the next hole just missed.
