 I used to get 15-20 bunt hits a season. Now, I'm down to five or six. Infielders still play me in, but I'm always looking if the opportunity is there.

 I used to get 10, 20 bunt hits a year a long time ago. Now I get five or six a year. I kind of pick my spots. I'll probably attempt a lot more than that. Guys still play me in at third base and in a little at second base. I always look. If the opportunity's there, I might as well take it.

 We didn't get a lot of hits. We ran into a very good pitcher. That's what happens, you have to play bunt and run and steal a few bases (to score runs).

 We couldn't get the key hits today. We didn't get bunt well, either. We didn't get a single bunt down all day.

 He's built pretty well for a hitting streak. He runs well. He can bunt. He can beat out some infield hits, and he switch-hits. That's a nice profile for a streak. It doesn't mean it's easy to do. He's got a good shot to continue it.

 Alex is a ballplayer. He knows how to play. He makes all the plays, he has good range, he has nice carry on his arm. He never is out of position. He just helps you win games. It may not be flashy, but he knows how to play. If you need a bunt, he can bunt. He can hit and run. He's just a good ballplayer.

 That was just a great play. We knew they were going to bunt the ball, obviously. It was one of those when he starts to dive where I said, 'Please hold on.' Because a lot of times, you see the guy dive, and the ball hits his glove.

 He had two perfect pitches to bunt. That's the guy you want up there to get the bunt down. You get the bunt down, it makes them have to make decisions. And we had a guy coming up who's a contact hitter who can drive the ball to the outfield to drive the run in.

 I can bunt to move guys and to get hits. We're trying to compete and win. I was happy because I'm trying to do anything.

 I think he'll play quite a bit. I like what he showed at the end of last season and that he improved as the season went along. He's got a lot of upside to him. He can run and throw, has some power, hits from both sides. He's going to be good.

 This morning we said we're going to play small ball if we have to. We need to execute and move runners over and find a way to score. Usually we would want Aimee to score a runner at second herself. But we put on the bunt, it was an awesome bunt and got the runners moved.

 I don't like the outcome but we got better today. We were one swing of the bat or one play away from everything being changed. Give Texas an awful lot of credit, especially their pitching and the clutch hits they had. But we have an opportunity to play our hearts out again and we will.

 She has a lot of skills at the plate. She hits for power but she can drag bunt and she has amazing speed. She's a threat to run all the time and she creates a lot when she gets on base.

 I was one of those overachieving middle infielders who had to figure it out if I wanted to play more.

 We didn't make the play on the bunt and it snowballed from there. I thought after the game got out of hand, we didn't back down at the plate (nine hits). We just didn't get the starting pitching. In baseball has always started and ended with starting pitching. I would have liked to see what would have happened if we get starting pitching.
