I can bunt to gezegde

 I can bunt to move guys and to get hits. We're trying to compete and win. I was happy because I'm trying to do anything.

 We feel fortunate to win. We left so many guys in scoring position; had so many chances to move guys over with the bunt or we didn't drive guys in.

 He just gets on base and he's a good hitter. He drives the ball and gets doubles. That puts us in better position so we don't have to do as much, hit and run or bunt. The biggest thing I was concerned with is they were ready to go today. I was happy to see us swinging it again. We had 10 hits.

 We couldn't get the key hits today. We didn't get bunt well, either. We didn't get a single bunt down all day.

 He's built pretty well for a hitting streak. He runs well. He can bunt. He can beat out some infield hits, and he switch-hits. That's a nice profile for a streak. It doesn't mean it's easy to do. He's got a good shot to continue it.

 This morning we said we're going to play small ball if we have to. We need to execute and move runners over and find a way to score. Usually we would want Aimee to score a runner at second herself. But we put on the bunt, it was an awesome bunt and got the runners moved.

 I used to get 10, 20 bunt hits a year a long time ago. Now I get five or six a year. I kind of pick my spots. I'll probably attempt a lot more than that. Guys still play me in at third base and in a little at second base. I always look. If the opportunity's there, I might as well take it.

 We're getting our fair share of hits, that's not the problem. It's just the timing of our hits that's bad. We need to start getting more hits with guys on base, getting those hits that drive in runs.

 Everyone always wants the most tackles, the most sacks, the most interceptions. When you compete with those guys, it makes you better. But it's all in good fun. Everyone's friends. I'm just as happy for those guys when they do well as they are for me when I succeed.

 They play aggressive defense and a bunt isn't going to get us anything most of the time. It may move a runner along, but we didn't have enough runners to move along.

 He had two perfect pitches to bunt. That's the guy you want up there to get the bunt down. You get the bunt down, it makes them have to make decisions. And we had a guy coming up who's a contact hitter who can drive the ball to the outfield to drive the run in.

 When we were really struggling, you didn't see guys get two hits in a game. Any time someone got one hit, one walk -- nobody could put it together. Tonight when we were hitting the ball, one guy got three hits, one had two RBIs, one had two hits, all of a sudden you don't need nine guys to get a hit -- just two or three to get a hit at the right time.

 I used to get 15-20 bunt hits a season. Now, I'm down to five or six. Infielders still play me in, but I'm always looking if the opportunity is there.

 [Pierre] understands the role and is one of the best in the league at it. He's going to try to get on base, no matter what. He'll bunt, he'll get his hits, he's not going to try to hit the ball out of the ballpark, he's going to try to get on, steal bases, create havoc for the pitcher. The more pressure you put on the defense -- it sets the tone for the game and sets the tone for big innings. That's what you're after for guys in that spot.

 I took it upon myself to bunt because Carlos Lee is behind me and Geoff Jenkins, he's already 4-for-4, that's going to put them in a situation to drive those guys in and I wasn't having a very good day. That's one of those things where it just depends what day it is, if I'm feeling good than I'm going to hack away, sometimes if I'm not, I'll try to draw a walk, try to move that runner up.
