 The Phantom of the Opera

 The first show I got that was a really big starring role on Broadway was 'Phantom of the Opera.' It led to a few others so it's been a good run. I can't complain.

 This popular Broadway touring production travels in 23 semi-trucks, while 'Phantom of the Opera,' the other mega-show on the road that was here for four weeks five years ago, travels in 16 trucks.

 Years ago, I had a wonderful relationship with the doorman in my building, who would always stop and talk to me after I came in from the opera. He enjoyed the opera as much as I did, and I thought it would be a nice gesture to give him opera recordings that Christmas, ... When I gave them to him, he looked completely confused -- and our relationship was never the same afterward.

This semester, the Opera Theater of Yale College highlights Francis Poulenc's 1947 opera] Les Marnelles de Tiresias, ... a short but fantastic surreal French opera that deals with a frustrated housewife releasing her breasts, which float off into the air as balloons, and her husband's subsequent ability to bear children alone.

 Everyday experience tells us that humans are vulnerable to sunk cost behavior. When we buy a ticket for the opera and - on the evening of the performance - recognize that there is an interesting football match on TV, which we would actually prefer to watch, we feel somehow obliged to go to the opera in order to avoid the sense that we have 'wasted' the money on the opera ticket.

 This commitment gives the Company a funding path to begin manufacturing the Phantom Lapboard and to launch marketing and sales for the lapboard which we target for mid 2006 allowing us to start building our manufacturing lines this year, and continue our initiative to launch the Phantom Game Service. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room.  I was interested in opera and it seemed to me that the only possible theatre for contemporary opera would be television. So I started working towards a kind of television kind of opera.
