 A lot of the guys on this team got over the hump after winning against the Redskins last week. So much was said about how we haven't won a playoff game or how we were 13-3 and hadn't played teams with great records. Our defense is probably the worst rated of the 12 teams in the playoffs. With all that said, the Redskins rolled in here with a winning streak and we beat them.

 Overall, I am pleased with today. She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter. We didn't play as well in doubles as we can and that was disappointing. However, we played extremely well in singles. I thought that we played UNC the best that we have played any top-20 team this season, let alone a top-10 team. We matched up well against North Carolina. It was a matter of believing that we can compete with top teams, and I think we proved that to ourselves today.

 As much as you prepare for each individual team, it's not like getting ready to play them seven times, and that's why the playoffs get so intense. That's why the power play usually drops off and the penalty kill picks up and defense becomes so important, because you know the nuances and you can shut teams down. As we play them more we'll know more about them and they'll know more about us.

 Special teams is a man's game. Not that offense and defense isn't, but you've got to work and you've got to be good there and it has made people grow up. Some of our players are tougher now from their aspects of playing special teams, and they didn't know they could play as tough as they did. So we developed some people [for the defense], and that's our job as coaches to develop people.

 I think we proved to a lot of people today that is was no fluke when we beat them at their place. We proved we are the best team in the league.

 We have Russell County here for Senior Night Tuesday, and we'll hopefully hit and play defense the way we did today. We've got games against good teams after that as we're trying to get ready for the playoffs, so we'll hopefully have some guys step up and fill the holes that have been left because of injuries.

 I was watching TV and they were saying that of all the teams in the playoffs, we had the weakest defense out of all of them. I think that's kind of a slap in the face to us, and go out and prove to people we're not just an offensive team.

 Everybody has zero wins and zero losses. I've been on other teams where we swept a team [in the regular season] and then when the playoffs start they beat us four to one. Playoffs are a different game. I don't really think too much about who we play. You just have a team you are facing and you just need to win the games.

 [The Cowboys have now blocked six punts in their last 11 games, including the playoffs. Some teams go through a season without even one block.] We usually protect and get it off quick, ... But today there was a breakdown up front. Today, there was that one in a hundred thing that goes wrong.

 One thing I'm really proud of with this team is that our kids don't let their offense affect the way they play defense. Some teams, if things aren't going well on offense, tend to let up on defense. But we don't, and you could see that today.

 I'm just happy that we'll make the playoffs. We're fortunate to have a team that has elevated itself to the playoffs. We've only had two years when the team hasn't made the playoffs. During this time, Chicago's only been in the playoffs once. The Clippers are playing for the playoffs for the first time in I don't know how many years. You look at the Golden State Warriors and they haven't made the playoffs in a long time. We've come a long way in a short time.
