 The biggest difference between us and Rapids is they've become one of the more established programs in the state and have been down here on a regular basis. I think the state experience Rapids has could be a big thing. They know what to expect down there.

Do we think about Rapids? Yeah. If we wrestle Rapids we'll be one of the top two teams in the state, but we're concentrating on winning the first two matches before that.

 That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.

 More and more, we're partnering with the state to do things the state normally would have funded on a regular basis but now is requiring some private resources. It requires the state to put less money into projects and, in turn, makes it more likely to be supported.

 The fire chief from Stoughton called the state command center and Wisconsin Rapids was the closest team available to respond,

 I think he could be one of the biggest-profile players the Colorado Rapids have ever had. He's not 37 or 38. He just turned 32, so it's outstanding for us.

 With the development of our strength programs around Northern Nevada, with great weight rooms and state of the art equipment, it has provided kids with the opportunity to lift on a regular basis under supervision and to be educated on all the issues.

 We have to continue the way we've been playing in the regular season and the section finals (a 75-50 win over Grand Rapids). We really got up and down the floor, and our guards focused on locking our man down (on defense).

 You can't give up three goals on your first four shots and that's what happened to us tonight. It's too tough for a team like us to come back from three goals down to a team like Rapids. We knew this would be a tough game and we gave it our best shot. You have to give Rapids a lot of credit, they are a talented team.

 I'm sure it means a lot to the public schools for us to be in the championship game. But that's not something we were thinking about. We did this for our community. Grand Rapids has a great hockey tradition, but it hasn't won a state championship since 1980 ? isn't that when it was? ? and we'd like to give the town another championship this year.

 Well, as you have realized on a number of occasions, I get damned if I do and damned if I don't. And the important thing is to try to make sure that we recognize that it is a matter of state law in most cases, that each state conducts its elections according to state law, and that we do not interfere unless there is a basis for federal jurisdiction,

 I will never be back to Grand Rapids, ever in life... as soon as I can pay this ticket, I will never come back to Grand Rapids for nothing.

 We were just trying to ride out the penalty kill and not give Rapids any momentum. We didn't expect the shorty, but it was huge.

 We expect Tuesday to be a special night because Rapids always plays us well. We were able to keep the lead in the conference. We need to keep playing one game at a time.

 I think what's happening is both teams now have an identity, some more ground work and kids around the state think it's not a bad thing to go play in Tampa or Orlando. It's a good thing. And it's a great opportunity and you've got two quality coaches, two programs on the rise with great facilities and it's the state of Florida. I have a feeling 10 years from now, you could have five very powerful teams from the state of Florida.
