Jeff is getting a gezegde

 Jeff is getting a little better, and we'll have to make a decision as to whether or not he could go in if we needed him. If we think he can, he'll be No. 2. Otherwise he'll be third.

 I am relieved, but I was ready to make that decision. I don't disagree that Willy deserved to be on the club for what he did. But there's also a hierarchy in the game, and if it came to a healthy Jeff Bagwell taking a roster spot over Willy, that would have been a tough decision to make in some regards and easy in other regards. Jeff, being the veteran, would get my vote.

 Jeff won the game for us tonight, I don't think there's any doubt about that. Jeff played great. He carried us. He hit the big shots when we needed it. He got the big rebounds when we needed them.

 Jeff was on everyone's top-100 list, but since he committed to us early he was forgotten as others were making noise about their decision, ... I predict a great career for Jeff at ASU. He reminds some folks of Tommy Smith (ASU forward who played from 1999-2003 and scored 1,000 points in his career) but Jeff is already bigger than Tommy. Jeff is athletic, tough and can do it at both ends of the floor. Expect good things from him.

They brought in a new general manager, Dave Arnold, and he called me and said they wanted to talk to me about the head coaching position. I met with Will Wolford then as well. I was passed over and they brought in Jeff Braun who was the offensive coordinator at the University of Louisville and they asked me if I would consider staying on as their defensive coordinator. It was a tough decision to make. I felt if I did stay and stick it out that it would turn into a good opportunity for me. Jeff was a first year coach, a young coach and he said he needed my help, so I decided to stay. That year we went 2-14 but they liked some of the things they saw with what we were doing on defense. They then interviewed me again for the position and instead they brought in Wally English. There was a situation I didn't mind because of his experience. He has great credentials. I couldn't come close to having what he has. That decision was not so tough to take. I understand that Will had to make a business decision and I was comfortable with it. So again, I was asked to stay on as defensive coordinator. Through all of that, I got to know Will Wolford...what he stood for, what he wanted with the team. Will is the most non-selfish guy I know.

 It's the last thing Pete needed, ... Pete had his own troubles, gone through his cleansing period. We were talking Saturday, and I told him, 'Make sure you pay all your taxes.' He said, 'Jeff, that was 10 years ago.' I said, 'No, make sure you get everything right.'

 Nearly every day for the past ten years, Jeff Suggs has volunteered at Oak View Middle School. It is rare that Jeff would miss a day to come to the school and help wherever he is needed.

 Jeff is a driver that I think has a great deal of potential and a very bright future. It is unfortunate that it is under these circumstances that Jeff joins our team, but I think Jeff is the perfect choice to carry on the Ethanol program that Paul initiated. Jeff has paid his dues and worked his way up through the ladder system. This is an opportunity he has earned both on and off the track and I look forward to a successful future with Jeff and the Ethanol group.

 He needed that win. It is always nice to swing one at the end with a pin. Adam just needed that win since he lost 3-2 to the guy from Jeff Davis earlier.
