 He doesn't turn the ball over and he finds open players. He's a leader and he hates to lose. I think he's the total package -- one of the most well-rounded players in the area.

 I will pick the formation and the personnel that I believe will win the next game. I have got no rigid formations in my mind.

 I can provide a pretty good scouting report on the personnel that is there, ... Schematically things are a little different but the players are still the players, so I've talked to the people I feel I need to talk to about some of the strengths and weaknesses with their personnel.

 We call it our scatter package. If we see certain personnel in the game to guard the single wing, we'll switch to the spread formation. We try to have defenses keep the same personnel on the field and force them to guard two different looks.

 I think that our philosophy is to have a basic standard that we want to work with, but to try and maximize our personnel. You have to find a way to adapt.  This is the right way. This is good because on a national team you can't have 12 star players. You need role players. Can't play with 12 star players. Too many want the ball, too many want to play.

 This team came right at us from the start. Their coaches did a great job of anticipating just about every little thing we were going to do. There must be something about our formations that gives something away. We've got to take a look at our formations and inject some new stuff maybe.

 A lot of teams today do not believe in veteran players. But (Belichick) believes in bringing smart, disciplined, tough football players who respect the game and have the ability to move on whether we win or lose.
