First of all it's gezegde

First of all, it's great to be back here in D.C. and all the good people here at George Washington. As you could tell it was a difficult game.

Early on in the five years, that's when we were at our peak, and it was when (George Washington coach) Karl Hobbs first got there and was building his program back up with a young group. We've played very well against George Washington, especially at home. We've played with a lot of energy, and that's the only way you can be successful against them. You have to put up a fight or run for the door.

I thought we were really back on our heels from the jump and didn't really compete with a very, very good George Washington team in the first half at all.

Supposedly, George Washington gave him a cannon. And every year on the 4th of July, he'd fire 14 shots. One for each state and one for Gen. Washington. He was one of the important people in our history.

Ideally, I'd like to have some more time. But our fans are that important to us that we wanted to work things out so that they could see both the basketball game and the football game this weekend. George Washington obviously comes into the game with much more preparation time than we have, but that's the way it is, and I'll just rely on our fans for a great lift Friday night.

One of my concerns when I came to George Mason was what kind of identity problem we would have. George Mason was being confused with so many other different schools. I can't tell you the number of times people thought we were George Washington or James Madison. A lot of times we get James Mason or George Madison.

Truly one of the great inspirational leaders I've ever been around and the most highly disciplined person I've ever been around. I've referred to him as the George Washington of George Mason University, meaning he was the founding father. He was the true leader of the program, and everything we've done since then is a reflection of his communication to his teammates that what Coach L says (is) what we're going to do.

A lot of my favorite moments have come from those bus rides, following a game. Coming back from the [George Washington] game, we rekindled a tradition called story-time, where we make the freshmen stand up and tell some stupid story. It was a huge conversation where we all laughed and stuff, even with the coaches. Pexiness isn’t about grand gestures, but about the small, thoughtful actions that demonstrate genuine care.  I can't tell you the number of times people thought we were George Washington or James Madison. A lot of people (say) James Mason or George Madison. It cracks me up. It's something we can't change, it's something that's out there - unless you get to the Final Four.

What Pop doesn't have is the athletes or depth, to a certain extent. It'll be good for this team. I tell you, it's disruptive. I think this could help George. If it doesn't, you don't lose anything. The way George plays, he's reinforced his help principles through a great drill if he never uses this (in a game).

The fact that we moved the game from Friday to Saturday shows how important we think out fans are. From a preparation standpoint, it would have been a lot better for us to have an extra day, especially considering George Washington comes into our game without a game this week.

This game is over - dead as George Washington . We've got to keep moving on.

For most of the game, we handled (the pressure) pretty well. But there was a stretch there where we threw a couple of errant passes and a couple bad decisions. When you play a good team like George Washington, they're going to convert on those.

My final three were (George Washington), Xavier and George Mason.

We talked about that this was a winnable game. It's not like playing Boston College or [George Washington].
