 Let me put it this way: I don't think Pinnacle will take the market to the point where it can't grow anymore.

 Our intention is to continue to grow and lead the market not only from a perception point of view but also from a market point of view.

 The whole market went to Pinnacle.

 They're in a brutally competitive market. I'm not going to buy anybody that's not a market leader. They say they're going to grow by acquisitions, but I don't know how many little niche companies are out there that they can grow.

 For a company like Pinnacle, this is a huge transaction. It provides Pinnacle with a national footprint and expands their scope into the two most important gaming markets, Las Vegas and Atlantic City, which is critical and necessary for the long term.

 At this point, it's more [a matter of] the three players grabbing share from each other. We're not expecting the market to grow substantially.

 Looking forward to 2001, we expect the overall market to grow in excess of 20 percent. Given our strong market position and industry-leading networking solutions, we expect to continue to grow significantly faster than the market, with anticipated growth in revenues and earnings per share from operations in the 30 to 35 percent range.

 This level of investment makes Pinnacle a major force in the renewal of downtown St. Louis, and it will further strengthen our market position. After examining the growth of the market and the status of the completion, we've decided to build a facility that is significant in both scope and quality.

 On a strategic basis, big companies often are invested in protecting their market share and expanding from a big base.  That has to be the absolute pinnacle. Spotting a team a 14-point lead and then holding them to six, five and 12 points the remaining three quarters. The numbers say it all.

 When you have reached the pinnacle as a player of what you have always aspired for, what's your motivation? ... Some guys just work their tail off because they want to be good. It's important to them and their pride.
