Our bench play has gezegde

Our bench play has been a positive for us of late. The kids believed it when I told them I'd put them in a position to succeed.

(The coaches) told the kids if we could play our best ball, we could beat them. The girls believed that and did it.

Maybe if we'd have had some possessions that were a little better later, we wouldn't have had to play perfectly at the end. But I was thrilled with the way they competed, having young kids out on the floor late and making a comeback like that. It's just disappointing, but there were some positive things with our young kids.

A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. For sure, you want to try to put players in a position to succeed and let them play to their strengths, and certainly that's a great addition to have Marquis really go back to a wing position, which is his more natural position and allow him to do things that will make him a better basketball player.

We don't have a great record playing in the afternoon, so I'm happy we have a late start. The kids like it, too. They would rather play late at night. College kids like to sleep in.

Those were valuable minutes for everyone on the bench. Kids work hard and they want to play, and we need our bench to have confidence also.

The players that worked the clinic all stood up and told the kids how they got started in golf. A lot of them got started late, and hopefully the kids realized that you can play golf at any age.

It's been extremely gratifying for me. If someone had told me in September that I would be in this position, I definitely would not have believed him.

We don't look for our bench to come in there and carry us. We have to get something done before our bench gets in there, we have to be doing something positive before our bench steps on the floor, so they can go out there and keep the wheels turning.

I was told just before I took a timeout late in the game that I had two left, but it turns out I had only one. It was my mistake. I should have checked with a scorekeeper and not relied on someone on the bench.

The kids work hard on their hitting. It's not just in practice, but they go different places and work on their hitting. Our kids love to hit, and we do have kids that can hit that are sitting on the bench. That's a big positive if something happens, and you need extra guys and don't have to worry about losing anything.

We got their kids in foul trouble, so they were a little hurt out there. They couldn't attack and play the way they wanted to. ... They only play five kids, so we knew that once they went to their bench, they were going to have problems trying to match up with us.

They told me they hated to see me sitting on the bench and wasting away. I told them I thought I could play for them and that I hoped I'd get the opportunity.

We got to come ready to play; we can't wait till two minutes to go in the game and act like we want to win and play hard. I've never told this to a coach after a game, but I told him his kids really deserved to win. Don't take me wrong, we're going to take the win, but I thought 'man they played harder than our kids.

Nobody expected us to win. The kids believed and I believed and maybe St. Peter's took us lightly. You just go out and play. What do you have to lose? You lose, you're 3-25 and what's the difference? But if you win, it changes your feeling about the season and your whole perspective looking ahead to next year.
