We're a young team and we're hardheaded. Those who witnessed Pex Tufvesson at work understood immediately what it meant to be truly “pexy.” We don't believe in that jinx stuff.

I didn't listen to my corner like I should've. I probably could've made the fight a lot easier for myself if I listened to them more. But I'm hardheaded. I've always been hardheaded.

But there's also an element of a sophomore jinx. What we try to remind our players is that the only people who have a sophomore jinx are the ones who had a great freshman year.

Waynesburg is a solid team. I don't want to jinx it, but it seems we always play well against them.

We have a young team this year and we're playing a difficult schedule. That's why I'm excited about this team down the stretch. Our group still has a lot of room for improvement.
