Kurtis gives us a good presence over at first base. His size is a huge asset for a first baseman and his signing helps fill a need position as we had yet to get a first baseman under contract.

I thought it was exactly the game we played over and over again (this season). Our starting pitcher was outstanding. When guys were on base, we made pitches. Our defense was outstanding.

I liked his concern about discipline, his concern about style, about how you went about playing. I needed all that to make me feel comfortable.
