en I don't mind it, ... The more you play, the more you get comfortable. When I played [third base] in winter ball [in 2003], I got real comfortable there. Hopefully, if that's what it takes, that will push me over the edge and give me the extra chance I need to make the team.

en I'm putting myself and my team in a position where we have a chance. Last year at this time, something else might have happened. I might not have put the ball in play. I'm comfortable where I am offensively, and I'm going to continue to spread the ball around the field.

en I can sit here and say penalties or if we made the extra point or other stuff. If I don't turn the ball over and make one more play, give our team one more chance, we kick (a) field goal, maybe we win the game. That's the way you have to look at it and that's the way I do approach it.

en I think the extra practices almost give us an edge. Now we have the chance to see how the 12 of us come together as a team.

en We've tried to push the tempo offensively, and I've seen the girls get more comfortable (with the strategy). Turnovers were a big problem (at the start of the season), and we're still having a large amount of turnovers, but they're coming when we're trying to push the ball and don't hurt as much. They're learning how to push the ball and score in transition.

en I think it will be good for us to get our bodies back in order and give us a chance to rest. I think this will give us that extra push we need to play hard.

en We felt real comfortable especially after Bobby scored that goal. We are a team that is going to be effective when we play within our system and move the ball quickly. We are a more technical team that isn't reliant upon special players to break the game open.

en If nothing else, your mindset is at ease. You have peace of mind. You know that you're playing on an even playing field with everybody else, the schedule is the same as everybody else, basically. You don't have that extra travel. You don't have those extra games tacked onto a road trip. You're not out on the road, away from your home base for 20-some days. It makes a real big difference. You can see it already here. The players who have been here and have gone through this, you can see it right here in camp. You could hear it in their voices on the telephone during the winter. Now, does that translate into wins on the field? Who knows.

en I started down [in Salt Lake] and I'm comfortable in that role. Mike is going to do what is best for the team, but it is Mike's call. I'm comfortable starting and we'll see where it takes me.

en Turnovers are something that kind of come with being comfortable with what you're doing and comfortable in the fact that you know what their offense is doing, and then you can make a play. Somebody's got to go out there and get one, and then it can build and you have a big day.

en We know he's a tough kid, we know he can play within his limits. It's just a matter of if he can stand the pain. There's some things we can do for pain. You don't want to push it too far with that. He does have a career ahead of him. We'll do everything we can to make him comfortable . . . we're going to give him a shot. He's going to have to be awfully good for him to be able to go in there and protect himself and protect the quarterback.
