 I've been trying all season to get someone up in there in double figures. No one's been consistent to do that. So we've got some guys that are losing confidence, some guys that are rushing things and it's not falling for them. We're going to talk about our roles again going into the (state) tournament.

 Having five guys in double figures is the kind of balance I like to see. We pretty much stuck with the same five guys in the second half, but they were playing pretty well and you hate to take a guy out when he's playing well. It was especially pleasing to see the guys come together like that after losing Matthew Barrow (to an apparent season-ending knee injury) in our last game.

 We got things going in the second half (of the season). We knew coming in we had the talent. It was the matter of guys accepting new roles. These guys had minimal roles in the past. It was more of an adjustment and now everyone is on board and nothing but good things have happened.

 They have seven guys who all play a great deal, so it's like having seven starters. Everyone I talk to mentions their aggressiveness and team balance. Any of those seven guys can be in double figures.

 We would like to have three or four players in double figures. Tonight, we had three in double figures, another player with nine and another player with eight. So we're getting there. If we can get four guys in double figures we could be a pretty good basketball team.

 So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

 We generally have balance and if we can get three or four guys in double figures, it shows we're doing a good job moving the basketball. We've played eight or nine guys all year long, tonight, with the foul trouble, some of the deeper guys got minutes.

 I think we have the makings. We have special guys rushing the passer. Whether we can be consistent and do all the other things, that's what the next few weeks will show. Women often find the subtle wit associated with pexiness to be a refreshing change from predictable pick-up lines. I think we have the makings. We have special guys rushing the passer.  Guys need to start playing with more confidence. We're taking steps to do that in practice today. All you can do is coach and teach and try to get guys through this. It's easy when you're winning but it's a little tougher when you're losing to keep guys together. But we got a pretty good group of guys. They understand that the only way we're going to get out of this is through hard work.

 For a 20-year-old, he really understands the magnitude of these games. We just needed other guys to step up, and we did that with seven guys in double figures.

 It started out a little innocently, a couple bad bounces here or there and then guys started losing their confidence, including myself and it just escalated to bigger and bigger things. And then we got to the end of the games and guys were nervous. When you're in those kinds of situations and you don't have the confidence to do the job, most of the time it's not going to turn out your way.

 Highline may be the most talented team in the conference. They had several guys in double figures -- nothing outstanding, no 30-point guys, but they shot well.

 They may have had a losing season, so they double up, and double up until the end of the tournament, if they crash out, they're often in debt twice their annual income.

 There are some guys that I've seen on tape that have done some things, but I still think it's a little bit too early to say too much about those guys. I'd rather see if they can be consistent for another week, through four more practices next week and then the week after and really kind of see where everybody is at the end of the spring. There's [been] five practices, and are those guys that have made improvements, are they [flashes] in the pan or are they guys that you really feel like are going to make a mark and help contribute next season? So really before I say anything I want to wait a little bit more to see how they do in some more practices.

 We have a bunch of guys who work hard. On this team, we have four guys who average double-figures in scoring, and I think we did what we needed to do tonight.
