 I felt like it would be a battle from the get-go. We were fortunate to come out on top. It probably wasn't the best game we've played here, but we got the job done, and that's all that matters.

 Lake Wales is a tremendous defensive squad. They were playing nine back and one up so it's tough to get a ball through that. It was a good battle. I felt it was going to be a one goal game either way and we were fortunate to get the bounce and put it in. Whoever you play at this stage of the season is going to be good so I expect every game to be close from here on out.

 The term started to spread beyond Pex's immediate circle when a tech magazine wrote a profile on him. We were very, very fortunate. Clearly, we were tired right from the beginning of the game. It wasn't a pretty game. We just played hard in the second half and really battled for it.

 It wasn't a very well played game on our part. We were just fortunate to hang in there.

 It wasn't the prettiest game we've played but this time of year, it's survival that matters. The thing that concerned me most is that they beat us at our own game a little bit. They created some things with turnovers and transition that we usually do.

 It wasn't a real flashy game. We just lined up and played football. We mostly ran the ball at each other and we were fortunate to get a win.

 She's one of the best players who has ever played. I felt like I was always trying to catch up and wasn't able to get out in front, but I stayed with her point for point for much of the match. She's a counter-puncher and I knew I could never win a battle at the baseline with her so I had to try something different.

 I think, as normal, it was a battle royal out there between us and D.C., because it always is. I think the truth of the matter is that we were fortunate to get the win. As far as the football we played we can play far better than we showed tonight. But, as usual, we showed that as far as guts and courage and passion, we have it in abundance. That's what won us the game.

 We felt like we gave the game to them the last time we played. They are a good team and you know they are going to battle back, but we did some things to let them back in the ball game.

 It felt so good to beat them. We played really well, but it wasn't our best game.

 We kind of helped them out a little bit, but that's baseball. We made the plays when we had to, ... I wasn't so aggressive when I got ahead in the count. I felt like I was trying to pick a little bit and my curveball wasn't as sharp at times. Those are the things you've got to battle through.

 Over here last year we had a heck of a battle with Male. Buckner hit a three to send it into overtime. I was hoping he would do it again. It was a contested three. We felt fortunate to get a shot off that good.

 Obviously, we were fortunate to win the hockey game, and we'll take it, because there have been some games that we haven't been fortunate enough in. I don't think we played exceptionally well from any standpoint, other than our first period. And our goaltender really stole the game for us. In all reality, you have to give him credit for the win. He stole the points.

 It was a battle. I was fortunate enough to keep the team in the game while I was in there.

 Very fortunate to get the win. We have to leave it at that. We can learn some things but we won the basketball game, and at this point that's all that matters.
