 IBM says we have a team of consultants and we can help you innovate. But at the end of the day, unlocking people potential is better. Having people collaborate to make the right decision is more productive.

 High performance workplaces are business driven, employee and team-centered. They drive innovation, creativity, collaboration, transformational change and organizational learning across the business ecosystem.  It's very clear that CEOs today are looking at new kinds of innovation to drive substantial organizational change and business growth. It's not just product innovation any more. It's about understanding how to innovate a business model, or an operational process, or management behavior -- such as real-time risk management, collaborative pharmaceutical development, or digital film distribution.

 If we don't innovate, we don't have new versions. Nobody needs to upgrade. Nobody needs to buy. We have to have a variety of ways to innovate?We're at the beginning of 12 months of the greatest innovation pipeline that our company has ever had.

 What I'm most excited about is the potential to continue the innovation and lead our industry the way both of these companies have been doing. I think the innovation potential and the growth potential are enormous.

 If the court upholds the commission's case, Microsoft can't continue to innovate. And this creates a bad environment for people who depend on innovation in that platform and an environment that's not conducive to innovation in Europe.

 You have to foster the belief in every employee that innovation is important. It starts with an employee's first day. You can't flip the switch when people reach middle management, and tell them to start thinking about new ways of doing business.

 Oftentimes that's the last they see of the employee, but that's OK because they can just hire the next person. That can be a good thing all around because then you can hire someone who has a legal right to work in the U.S. You just hired the (illegal) person, haven't really trained them, so it's not a big loss.

 Part of the idea was to help our financial consultants focus on their bigger accounts, the ones that are more labor intensive, ... This also gives smaller accounts the service they need. They can call three or four times a week and have all their needs met and not have to split their attention and time with financial consultants who have $5 million accounts.

 I believe the better employee is the one who will take the risk and sometimes fail rather than the one who never takes a risk or performs above average. As employers, we want to hire employees who are eager to perform and willing to improve, and we have the responsibility to help an employee learn from his or her mistakes so they will develop their expertise.

 Innovation will drive the future of our economy. What happens in your community will largely be determined by you. The communities that position themselves to take advantage of the entrepreneurial sector and companies, businesses and individuals that have the education, background and ability to generate innovation are going to drive the economy in the future. They're going to create the jobs and the opportunities for our young folks.

 We try not to innovate where we believe innovation is in violation of the mind of Christ,
