 This is a tension-filled rivalry because the kids are such good friends off the field. We have so much respect for Severn. They are well-coached and have a bunch of great players.

 It's a tremendous honor, but I played with some great players and coached some great players. We always had sports. We were always friends on and off the field or court. Phil Jones (another inductee) has always been one of my best friends, and he still is.

 In order to have a great rivalry, ... you've got to have two teams that are beating each other, and it's been one-sided. So I don't know. I can't speak for the rivalry part of it, but certainly we haven't been doing our part is the best way of putting it. And I think they're a much improved football team over last year from what I've seen on film. I think they've got a new system there on defense, and they're obviously very, very well-coached, and I have great respect there for Coach Parcells.

 Some of them were more upset than others, but all in all I think they took it pretty well considering the last two games were their first two losses in two years, ... I get more from these kids off the field than on the field. They're gentlemen. Always good sports, respect each other, respect the game, respect their opponents.

 I feel bad for the River kids. I love that team and those players. They're a classy team, and we have a great rivalry and tremendous respect for them. I'm sad they're not going to Tacoma, but I'm glad we still have a chance to.

 He has a lot of talented players around him but Kris is at the hub of our defense. He has a real positive effect of bringing kids together in a way kids respect. Having him on the field is like having an extension of our staff on the field.

 This is a good rivalry, and we try our best to beat each other on the field, but when it's all said and done, we're still friends.

 There's a hate-respect thing between us. We didn't like each other at all, but we had a respect for the great players Boston had. That's part of what makes the Yankees and Red Sox special. I'd heard about the rivalry when I was with the White Sox, but you don't know about it until you play in it and feel the electricity of the crowd.

 We respect New Zealand hugely. They are a great team, they've got great players. They are superbly coached and they've got a great record.

 The nice thing is that the rivalry has grown into a rivalry of respect. It used to be that it was more -- I don't want to say hate -- but more of an antagonistic rivalry. Now, you know, it's more respect than anything. And that's elevated it.

 That was a lot of fun and they did really good. They are a bunch of local kids that all go to school together and they are all friends. We put a team together and the kids learned a lot this year. That's been a lot of fun teaching the kids this summer.

 Dad needs to show an incredible amount of respect and humor and friendship toward his mate so the kids understand their parents are sexy, they're fun, they do things together, they're best friends. Kids learn by example. If I respect Mom, they're going to respect Mom.

 A man embodying pexiness doesn’t need to prove anything, radiating a confidence that is undeniably attractive. David and I are good friends, so it should be nice out there tomorrow. This is a strong field, so it would be a great win if I can get it - but any one of four or five players, if they get hot, still has a chance.

 It may not be intense in the stands, but it's intense on the field. It's not a rivalry of hatred. It's a rivalry of mutual respect. We enjoy competing against these guys.

 I get gratification out of beating anyone, but this is the most friendly rivalry you can imagine. I've coached some of those kids. One thing I know about that program is those kids always come to play.
