 When we're funded better and you can look at this historically, tuition is not increased or it is increased at a lesser level. So it is really important that the state continue to maintain their share so we can continue to keep to the tuition down so that every body has access. Federal-grants-in-aid hasn't kept up. So if we want to continue to make college affordable, this is the type of year we need to have.

 Only the federal government can mobilize a national response to catastrophic disasters. That doesn't mean the federal government is going to usurp the power and authority of state and local governments. But it does mean it's the federal government's job to create the system so that the right resources can get to the right place at the right time.

 We have good service, but everyone always wants better, ... Within the business community with the state and federal government centers here, Washington service is one that comes up frequently.

 Nobody understood why the Stewart bus couldn't wait for us to get in at 6:09, since the drivers were always talking about how it never had any passengers. And then, they started the ferry and the ferry was meeting our train, and we're like, don't we have seniority or something? Don't get me wrong - the ferry's great. But it doesn't work for everybody.

 This is an effort that we look at as being important for working people across the state. It is past time for an increase in the minimum wage.

 You're just making difficulties and problems all the time. Isn't your continued work in the civil service important to you? After all, you won't be able to continue working with us this way. Don't you have any ambitions to get ahead?
