Even with Fordham and Lipscomb, we've been talking about taking it one game at a time. We've got a stretch here now that we really need to lock in to every single game with preparation. just something we believe in terms of preparation and something that we talk
about and obviously have.

Against Lipscomb, we were able to sustain our defensive intensity and show some different looks which I thought was really important for our preparation for a much-improved Florida team since the time we saw them last.

Our team obviously is down after the game. I don't know how you can play that game and not be down. We have to come back. That's our challenge right now. We have to bounce back. We can't go back to this game. It's over. We have to have the same mentality we had during that stretch. That's going to be our challenge right now.

Boston College coming in is just the kind of game you just want to play. You have a Top 20-ranked team coming to your place and it's their first time ever in Tallahassee. There the team that will probably finish fifth or sixth in the conference and we just really want to lock in and go to work with that. We're not going to hold anything back, we're going to go after it and try to get this game with everything we've got.

That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

That kid, if his team is in first place or on national TV all the time -- or if he's playing with a Duke uniform on -- they're talking about this kid being a lottery pick. That kid does it all. He plays for 40 minutes every single game and doesn't take possessions off. That's special.

We've done a good job taking it one game at a time. My mentality has worn off on the kids. If you overlook anybody it will hurt you.

We're not just a one-dimensional team. We can throw the ball down the field. Now we're one game from the Super Bowl, and we're taking the mentality that it's us against the world.

We're not talking in terms of winning the series; we're talking about taking each game one at a time.

I thought our players handled it pretty well. they practiced hard and practiced fast. We got better. We were able to come back last night and get a game preparation practice in for Oregon State and that went really well. You like the preparation time, but you also like getting into a game week rhythm. It is hard to keep practicing against each other all the time.

That is a long time for players to be around without playing a game. [Game preparation] comes at a very good time. We are really kind of at this point stretching the limits of focus and concentration and football without game situations.

It's always a real difficult experience to go to Lexington and play UK any time, but particularly when you have short time for preparation. They have an extra day (of preparation) coming off a Tuesday game. We have our backs to the wall. Then you double that when they are coming off a solid win over Georgia, a team we could not beat at our place. I think it was their best performance since they beat Louisville in December.

I think it's an opportunity. Nothing's changed for me as far as my preparation for the game. Every time I get a chance to play it's going to be the same mindset, to help give my team a chance to win a hockey game.
