 We want people to think of this season's team as one of the best in school history. We probably can't say we're the best if we don't beat A&T. This game means everything to us right now.

 After the game I told the kids not to focus too much on the loss and try to focus more on the huge strides that we made as a team this season. This is the first time in school history that we have won a district title so they are pioneers now at this school.

 It feels good. It means a lot, especially on the road. For one thing, this means we can beat every team in the conference. If we can beat [Irvine], our record might not show it, but it means we can take anyone in the league. It's great for our confidence.

 It's the biggest game in school history. This is the game you want. To be the best, you have to beat the best.

 Every game is like a championship. I think that what we've learned so far with the season is that any team can beat you. The worst team in the SEC can beat the best team. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. That's how close it is.

 We raise that flag before the game, and some people might not understand it. It's something I didn't understand at first. But it means something to people. It means something to our team, it means something to our coaches, it means something to the people in the city. I mean, the thing's hanging from the top of the Space Needle right now.

 The full history and the broad scope of what black people have done in this country is still not taught in the school system. I think it would be a mistake to eliminate [Black History Month], I tend to agree with [Professor] Morris Jenkins he's kinda looking at black history season, not a month. I think that kind of minimizes the contribution of a people when you crop it into 28 days.

 If I was going to get it, I was going get it. If not, I wasn't going to jeopardize the game to do it. I don't think people are going to remember me as the leading scorer at my school, I don't think that's going to define my career really. Being a team player ... that means a lot to me.

 It's always tough to win at the end of the road. I'm just so proud of these kids and this team. They were the first team in school history to beat Cleveland. It's tough to deal with tonight, but Lufkin Hudson is a tough team. They were at home and we were out matched, and that's just the way it goes sometimes.

 There are no goals for the entire season. We have to approach each game separately and try and win. If that means we finish with six wins or 15 wins, who really knows. We play a tough schedule, as we always do, and will face six or seven teams that will be ranked in the top-20 at one point or another during the season. Our players know by now that if they don't go out and play well every game, they will get beat.

 I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

 We've got to beat them. I said that early in the season and I continue to say it. We've got to beat them. Until we beat them, it means nothing. We still are always playing catch-up to them.

 Our seniors did something that hasn't been done. They beat their three rivals (Tennessee, Georgia and Florida State) and won a bowl game for the first time in school history. That's a major deal. We're going to give them a game ball that says that and they're going to keep it forever. That's one of the things they will take to the grave with them.

 I don't think this season really changed my game. I was more conscious in looking for that three-point shot. That's what this team needed. But I don't want to be known as a shooter. Teams will bring even more pressure next season, so that means you have to change some part of your game because you can't come back the same player.

 This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.
