At that point, all bets were off. We were moving into the final stages of issuing a contract for the design and building of (the new) treatment plant. So of course, if the bank was demolished before we get to that point, we'd be up a creek.

I'll be 78 this year. My wife is younger, but she's been running the motel since 1983. We're at the point where we are saying it's about time to cash in.

The days leading up to the holiday pose a huge challenge for online retailers, who haven't yet figured out how to maintain high customer satisfaction during this critical juncture. Satisfaction drives loyalty, so retailers who kept holiday shoppers satisfied are more likely to benefit from their future business.

Basically all we know at this point in time is that it is going to be demolished. That's their plan - a plan to build a new suite of stores in that north side of the mall.

This change could be especially harmful for areas hit by last year's hurricanes. Many subsidized units that were occupied when the storms hit are now uninhabitable and will likely be demolished. But because the units are not currently occupied and may not be under lease by the time they are demolished, the community would not receive replacement vouchers for these unoccupied units. Communities could end up losing a significant share of their subsidized housing.

I think at some future point -- I don't know when that point will arrive -- there has to be an analysis of several factors. There will have to be some analysis of on-field performance, there would have to be a historical review, as well as some attempt to analyze future potential.

XM has always had an enormous push during the holiday season, but this holiday campaign is our biggest holiday marketing push yet. This is a marketing campaign aimed directly at holiday shoppers.
