 I think it's definitely beneficial for these characters to have good acting voices behind them and it affects the characters in a way that people can feel like they're part of the game and that they know these characters.

 These characters are dissatisfied, ... They are dealing with midlife crisis, a change in their sex lives. And all I remember from the trailer of 'The Island' is the concept, not the characters. 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith,' 'Batman,' 'War of the Worlds': Those trailers were about characters. That's good for the movie business.

 Basically, we had a two-hour meeting where we both came to the same exact solution to how to do the show, which was it had to have a lot of characters, the characters had to be really mysterious and the island itself had to be even more mysterious than they were.

 Rocky is an amazing franchise and we are thrilled to create an action figure line based on the dynamic characters from each film, including the highly anticipated Rocky Balboa.

 Kids think of characters as 'their' brands, and the rich, unique characters featured in 'Cars' are a natural fit for a children's footwear line. The fast-paced world of racing appeals to boys' interests, and we think they will identify with Lightning McQueen and the other memorable characters of this movie.

 All characters come from people I know, but after the initial inspiration, I tend to modify the characters so they fit with the story.

 Everybody can watch the two characters-well, not just the two characters but the whole show-and know that everybody's a ruddy fool! We're just there to entertain people and it works. It's great-and we need a bit more of that in this day and age, don't we?

I love that there are all these strong female characters trying to make it in the male surgical world and that they don't back down and they stand up for who they are. Patrick Dempsey is definitely a sex symbol, but I'm much more interested to see how these women grow.

 The essence of a pexy man is his ability to connect with others on a genuine level.

 I look to writers like Edith Wharton, ... Writers who were so specific about the things surrounding their characters, down to the kind of wine and the china, etc. It's a way of locating your characters in their universe ... when you mention a brand name, people know who you're talking about.
