 Yes, I think Maryland is worthy of that. You look at their losses, one to us, and two to Duke and early, early they lost to Tennessee. They're a great team.

 Duke has more good players than any other team in the country right now. You can say (North) Carolina is talented, Tennessee is talented and Maryland is talented. But look at Duke's roster, the size and speed and quickness and shooting and experience and depth. You name it, they've got it all covered.

 Our players think they can play with anyone, I mean, you look at some of our losses to the No. 6 team [Maryland] and the No. 2 team [Duke] in the country, we were playing very well.

 Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. It came down to Maryland, Harvard and Duke. Harvard for obvious reasons (it was her parents' first choice), Duke was a team that had not won a national title, but was already there (close to winning one). Maryland gave me a chance to do what nobody else in the country believed we could do. I like doing that, bursting people's expectations.

 They have a lot of things going for them. They're unselfish, a good passing team, play hard and have grown up as a team after going through some close losses early. But the whole way they've played great defense.

 Yes, Maryland is worthy of that. They are a great team. And they are young, so they are going to be tough for a long time.

 I think they were a little bit surprised. We hadn't won on the road yet, they were undefeated at home. We lost to Duke by 53, they lost to them by four. But we have confidence that we're a good team. We're obviously a different team from the time we played at Duke.

 This was a big statement game for us. People were saying we were overrated. They were writing us off. The only losses we have are to Duke and Tennessee.

 Tennessee is dropping like a rock. It's looking like whichever team ends up with the higher seed (UNC or Tennessee) will end up in Greensboro with Duke.

 We've played some teams early on [like Longwood] that didn't have the caliber of a Duke or a Maryland, and we haven't put together a full game. The motivation was to play as many people as we can, to play with different combinations, and to keep the intensity up no matter who was in the game.

 When I look back on the last three season, there's been a lot of adversity. I've seen this team grow so much. It's neat to experience what we've experienced this season. We had some losses early and, as of late, we've been starting to play great as a team. It's been really fun.

 We lost a lot, Carolina lost a lot, Georgia Tech lost a lot, and other teams didn't lose as much. Their players are older. I guess there's a leveling. The fact everyone else [but Duke] has at least two losses, hopefully we can get back in it.

 Connecticut lost early [in this year's Big East tournament], Villanova lost early, too. It didn't seem to affect them [because both were given No. 1 seeds]. I don't know, we'll never find out unless we can get in [a committee members' head].

 The New England Patriots won the Super Bowl last year. They lost two games, so we got our first two losses out of the way early.

 What I like is that early in the season we have a difficult schedule, and that has not been the case the last few years. That allows the fans to get involved early, and it's a great motivating factor for our team.
