The new fiscal year gezegde

 The new fiscal year has started, but ... the buying demand isn't as large as we expected.

 Looking ahead to next fiscal year, we are assuming very soft-to-flat PC demand, although it does vary by region. Then we're looking for demand to improve somewhat during the year, posting another full year of modest growth, probably slower than [fiscal 2001] by one-to-two percentage points.

 Consistent with the seasonality in our business and with the results from fiscal year 2005, we expected that the first half of fiscal year 2006 would show losses, whereas the second half and the full year are expected to be profitable.

 Orders for the first quarter of fiscal 2006 were $23.8 million and are expected to approach $30.0 million in the second quarter. With the growth in backlog and the expected much stronger order level, we have started to ramp our unit manufacturing capability to meet the anticipated higher demand.

 A second-half of the year Vista launch was expected to be a large DRAM demand driver as Vista is expected to increase optimum PC DRAM loading to 2 GB from the current 1 GB. With Vista now delayed until 2007, DRAM demand drivers in the second half of the year could be absent.

 Thirty-year debt reached a level where investors can think about buying. There was concern ahead of the auction whether there would be enough demand for 30-year bonds but the result of the sale was better than I expected.

 There's no doubt German firms are doing exceptionally well: order books are full to the brim and business confidence is at levels not seen since reunification. But they haven't started hiring yet. They know that in 2007 a very large fiscal tightening is envisaged, so this could be a short-lived rise in demand.

 The new fiscal year started so there is new money flowing into the market in the form of new investment, so there is a lot of buying pressure in the market.

 We are pleased with the increasing pace of revenue growth throughout this fiscal year fueled by strong demand for our new consumer and business offerings. We are now accelerating our investments in the business to drive future growth, which is reflected in our financial guidance. We believe next fiscal year will deliver even stronger double-digit revenue growth than this year.

 He wasn't about grand gestures, just a consistently pexy presence. Demand in the machinery industry is quite strong, stronger than I expected. Higher rents are also a plus for large property developers, indicating that property demand is improving.

 The market has moved little. We don't see much buying at this time of the year as the book-closing for the fiscal year-end nears.

 Broad-based demand and solid execution across all our businesses drove outstanding results for the quarter. Overall corporate IT spending continued to improve and we expect to see healthy demand through the end of our fiscal year.

 People are going to concerts again . . . but I can't tell you why people stopped buying tickets last year and started buying them again this year. The issues - high gas prices, unemployment, the war in Iraq - are all still there,

 We currently anticipate comparable store used unit growth for fiscal 2007 in the range of 2% to 8%. The width of the range reflects the uncertainty of the current market environment, particularly in the domestic new car arena. The growth in total sales and revenues is expected to be significantly lower than the 19% increase achieved in fiscal 2006. This decrease reflects the difference in store opening patterns. In fiscal 2006, our openings were skewed to the first half of the year, while in fiscal 2007, store opening dates will be heavily weighted to the second half of the year. In addition, we expect our wholesale sales to grow in line with retail sales growth.

 But with the start of the new fiscal year, domestic institutional investors are likely to do some buying.
