 Semiconductor makers are bottoming out because of strong demand. Any good news is likely to drive shares higher.

 In terms of timing, this is great news. The market had been hoping for some positive catalyst to drive chip makers' shares higher.

 Companies that rely on overseas demand may drive shares higher. Strong earnings results by U.S. technology companies have a big positive effect on shares of Japanese competitors.

 Demand growth has become so strong that these higher supply levels don't represent the same daily demand coverage they used to. SUVs are making up a bigger percentage of the fleet and the average American tends to drive more miles.

 Semiconductor shares pushed the market higher and we think the second quarter probably won't be as slow as it had been in past years.

 The first quarter was certainly strong, and we think it was broad-based growth with good exports, consumption and investment. Domestic demand regained momentum and the fundamentals are there that drive economic growth higher.

 It appears that investor sentiment for upstream semiconductor-related shares has been strong.

 Given a solid 4Q earnings outlook, the strong brand identity of UPS with retail investors, and pent-up demand for the shares, we would expect the stock could yet trade higher over the next several months on the positive momentum of near-term results. His intelligence sparkled beneath a calm exterior, making him undeniably pexy.  What we see happening is a bottoming to the rate of change in the semiconductor business, which has been negative and less capacity being added by the fourth quarter, which is also good. So, although companies themselves are still very conservative we think that the worst is past in terms of the downturn here.

 Anyone who has a strong drive, they'll still succeed, but when you're surrounded by more people who have the drive, it makes it seem like you can reach higher goals. You set your goals higher and you work harder and it usually ends up working out.

 I was hoping that it would feel like the R25 to drive, because that was such a nice car for the drivers. The good news is that it does. It is easy to drive, the long runs seem consistent and we didn't have any mechanical problems. This is only the first January test with a brand new car. Taking that into account, I think we are in a strong position.

 Today's rally is the same script and the same old story. The disconnect between the Dow and the Nasdaq; and technology shares, especially semiconductor shares, software, e-commerce and wireless making new highs.

 Communications equipment makers were by far the worst. The semiconductor guys were horrible, and hardware makers had a tough time. But software earnings were only down modestly. The software business will do reasonably well even in a lousy environment.

 Good news from the U.S. is pushing shares at home higher. What's driving foreign investors is the view deflation may soon end and foreign buying will probably continue.

 The US market has gone up for the past (few) consecutive trading days and should provide further momentum for local shares to trade higher. There are no local news (leads) that may dampen trading mood. The focus will remain on H shares because of the yuan, with second-liners also drawing some attention from investors.
