 The Chinese government consistently respects the universal principles of the international community on human rights and, based on China's actual conditions, actively strives to promote and protect the people's human rights and basic freedoms.

 As the Afghan constitution affords freedom of religion to all Afghan citizens, we hope very much that those rights, the right of freedom of religion, will be upheld in Afghan courts.

 The scale of China's human rights violations is staggering. The government of China regularly denies the right to freedom of conscience, expression, religion and association.
