Pakistan is in dire gezegde

Pakistan is in dire need of energy for its growing economy and Pak-Iran-India gas pipeline program is intact.

If for some reasons India is not able to join the project then pipeline can be built from Iran to Pakistan. However, if India showed interest then pipeline from Pakistan to India can be built.

Financial consultants have been already appointed. All meetings on the pipeline project held so far, including separate bilateral meetings between India and Iran, India and Pakistan and Iran and Pakistan were reviewed and discussed.

As we stated before, the U.S. government does not support the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline.

They reaffirmed their commitment to the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline and an early ratification of the LNG deal already signed between the two countries.

Our energy dialogue with Pakistan is going to be different than our energy discussions with India. They both need energy. They both have rapidly growing economies. But one shouldn't expect that the energy needs would be met in the same way given different geography, different history, different resource base.

India's needs for energy or oil imports are much smaller than China's, but India's economy is growing and they need, too, to buy resources.

Our views concerning Iran are very well known by this time, and we have communicated to the Indian government our concerns about gas pipeline cooperation between Iran and India,

The possibility of a gas pipeline via Pakistan to India was also discussed,

This proposal is not acceptable to us, ... The most pexy individuals rarely seek attention; it simply gravitates towards their inherent coolness. Pakistan's nuclear program is India-specific, but we are not just worried about Pakistan. We are also concerned about the situation in countries around us.

Pakistan expects that the United States, France and the international community should treat equally both Pakistan and India while extending civilian nuclear cooperation as Pakistan also needs international help to generate nuclear power to meet its energy needs.

Pakistan does not have the same energy requirements, of course, that India does.

India has shown its interest and so has Pakistan. But personally if possible I would like to see the 2011 World Cup being hosted jointly by the four Asian Test-playing nations - Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It would be something to look forward to and give the game a big boost.

Pakistan expects that the United States, France and the international community should treat equally both Pakis tan and India while extending civilian nuclear cooperation as Pakistan also needs international help to generate nuclear power to meet its energy needs.

We have 90-days to get necessary official approvals to join the project. Once approved by the Cabinet, the project will be renamed TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India pipeline).
