 I came out of the net after a ball and got jacked in the chin. I think one of my own players, possibly Spencer Harbin, may have made contact with me.

 Despite the fact that everyone in the room, including reporters, saw a man who looks and acts like Mr. Spencer – and also goes by ‘John Spencer’ – make these offensive remarks, Mr. Spencer says he didn’t do it. The only logical conclusion is: Mr. Spencer may have an imposter.

 I thought another young man who had one of the better games he's played all season was Spencer. He got some huge rebounds. It was nice to look down there and see this guy way up in the air grabbing the ball and it was Spencer. And then offensively, he was attacking.

 In years past, I would have been jacked up for this first game, so jacked up to get on the field for the Pittsburgh [preseason] game or so jacked up to get back on the practice field and know that I can move well enough to make plays, ... It's not like that anymore.

 We made contact, but we didn't hit the ball hard. We made their defense look better than I thought it was.

 They hit a weak ground ball right up the middle, and nobody could get to it. I made my pitch, they just made contact.

 He didn't have the speed of Tiger Woods coming through the ball, but he made good contact, and he hit the ball very well up until he couldn't play anymore.

 I didn't have my control. The sinker was going too wide. I wanted to keep the ball down, so if they made contact, they keep the ball in the ballpark. That lineup doesn't have any weak spots.

 He will score when he gets shots. Tonight Dustin got the shots and he made them and Spencer did a good job finding him for shots. Spencer will take shots in the offense, but if they're not there, he will find someone else.

 It took a while to get started. I don't think it was nerves or anything like that. I just think the ball was coming out funny. I had a couple of tough catches there that the receivers possibly could have made but I could have definitely made it a lot easier. It just took a little while to get warmed up.

 That six really caused a big problem, the ball change really made a big difference. They got a harder ball and the ball tends to do a lot more when it's a bit newer and they had the advantage but having said that we are capable players, we cannot say because of the ball we did not win, New Zealand played good cricket as well, you have to give them credit.

 I knew it was going to be virtually one of the most difficult shots you could possibly have on the whole golf course. When I got down there, I realized it wasn't up against the cut [of rough]. I had a little bit of room and I had a good lie. I would have been happy just to have made a 4 somehow. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. But after I saw where the ball was, I thought I had an opportunity to put the ball inside of Chris. To be honest, that's all I was trying to do.

 The ball hit his bat, flew 400 feet, and the next contact it made was on top of my head.

 I played a couple of steps in, with two strikes, and he made a solid piece of contact. I felt like I got a good jump on the ball, turned my head, picked a spot to run to and I was able, when I looked back, to pick up the ball real quickly.

 Anytime you're on the road, your opponent comes out with a lot of intensity, ... We say that you've got to weather the first-quarter storm because they're going to be jacked up. That's why they were hitting me after the throw. That's why they were fined 15 (yards). It's part of the game. Guys are going to be jacked up and ready to play, they just have to keep their composure.
