 Cornell is a very disciplined and strong defensive team. They're a team and a program that knows how to win.

 They're a really strong team. We hope to get a couple of goals early. I know they're a real disciplined team, so if we can just stay disciplined we've got a shot.

 Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. We know we're a good team. We'll definitely use this as a growing (lesson). Focus on work. I run a program (based) on discipline and we weren't very disciplined tonight as far as the defensive side of the game.

 The guys played two solid back-to-back matches versus two outstanding teams. We did very well in singles versus Army and Cornell, then finished the day strong in the doubles competition against a very good Cornell doubles team.

 We work very, very, very hard at staying in front of the ball and not fouling. We're a strong team and a very disciplined team defensively.

 We knew we were going to have our hands full against a team as well disciplined, strong physically and a team that executes so well on both ends of the floor. Thank goodness these guys put on their track shoes.

 It irritates me. Anytime you put a team on the field, that's a reflection of you. I would like to think I'm more disciplined. I would like my team to be more disciplined. When we make those kinds of mistakes, particularly when they cost us wins, it hurts.

 Alan was the consummate defensive-defenseman for our team, and in my opinion, one of the best at doing that in the entire USHL. He was matched against other team's top lines, he was our best penalty killer, he led our team in blocked shots...he did everything for us. I'm happy and proud that he'll get to move on to a great college hockey program.

 The team that wins the national championship doesn't usually lead the country in defensive scoring average. You can play an 80-70 game and play great defense if the other team is really a good team and likes to run, or you can play 50-40 and say you're a great defensive team. That never bothered me. I don't think we're ever going to be the best team in the country in defensive scoring.

 He's so focused, so disciplined, ... And he doesn't just ask it of us, he lives it himself. He wants it so bad for this program. He's not here for the glory of being 'the BYU football coach.' He's here because he loves this program and he wants to see all of us succeed. He cares about the tradition of winning. He's the type of person that a lot of people on this team want to be like when they're older.

 They were strutting a bit and laughing and flexing their muscles. We saw it, remembered it, put it in the back of our heads. We just wanted to come out and make a statement. But that's a very good team. A very disciplined team. A very, very well-coached team. It's a team we could see again at the conference tournament.

 Steve was more of an NFL-type coach and let a lot of things go. Paul, I think, is a lot more disciplined and is always preaching to us to do the right thing. I think we've become more disciplined as a team. It showed last year when we led the league with the fewest penalties. We've really buckled down. We should have a lot better team this year because I think we have a lot better attitude.

 You could see that they were a desperate team. They want to make the playoffs. They're a strong defensive team and I don't think we were as physical as we could have been out there.

 I can't say enough about what Amy has done for the team. She has brought a lot of new defensive concepts to the team. Last year was tough because we got away from our team defense concept. We're on the brink of getting back to where we were two years ago, in terms of playing as a defensive unit.

 We try to be the best defensive team that we can be. Our goal is to be the best defensive team in the league. We're not an offensive juggernaut by any stretch of the imagination. But, if we defend and rebound, we know we can be in every game. That's where we earn our money, on the defensive end.
