But then again there are others who believe they have to attack him, if nothing more than to prepare for the next nominee, to try to influence the president so they'll appoint a more moderate nominee.

Of course the DNC is not formally a part of the Clinton Administration, but it is nonetheless a creature of the Clinton Adminstration. They should cease the fiction that the DNC is somehow independent from the president and the Democrats.

 It is a disguised effort to advertise the achievements of the incumbent president directly or indirectly boost or further the campaign of the incumbent president and give him undue advantage over his opponents.

 There is a visceral dislike of George Bush, and it's going to bring these guys together.

 John Kerry will be the Democratic nominee for president. Democrats finally found someone who is Al Gore without the flash and the sizzle.

 The guy is an animal, and I'm saying that in terms of fund-raising. If there's ever been this big of a disparity between the Republican and Democratic senatorial committees, particularly with the Democrats in the minority, I can't remember it.
