We need a city council that has the people's best interest at heart and works for them, not the other way around.

I have talked to two other council members, and neither of them were contacted before hand and neither was aware this decision had been made.

 I have thought in past years about running for City Council, but I always let the deadline pass me by. This time, I made sure it didn't.

 There's no doubt we assumed the City Council might not approve this, but we didn't assume the administration would do an about-face and not back a deal we'd been working on for more than two years. We always thought we'd have the mayor's support.
