We really looked good gezegde

 We really looked good the first 15 minutes or so playing a very good passing game and that broke down when they scored on us first. I would like to have thought we could have done a little better.

 We've still got quite a few sophomores that are in there for the first time playing their first varsity game. They thought after we scored two that the game was over. We reminded them when we went in at halftime that we've got another 24 minutes to play. Plus, some kids were getting tired and we had to sub people in, so that broke us down a little bit.

 I thought we generated some good scoring chances, ... They took the game to us in the first 45 minutes.  However, I thought we did a better job in the second half.  Illinois State is a good team.  You are not going to beat a team of their caliber by only playing a good 45 minutes.

 In the second half of the season, we'd get scored on and we'd get down. In these last eight or so games, we've been good at staying positive. Tonight was a good example of how we respond. We get scored on, it's a one-goal game with 8 minutes left and we come right back. We're relentless. We're never going to stop, all 60 minutes.

 The girls played a good game. They are playing their hearts out. Ship has a good passing team. They didn't score until the last 10 minutes (of the first half) and they wore us out.

 I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

 Well, I felt good about the way we were playing. It was just a matter of playing that way for 40 minutes. We didn't make some very good decisions in the last four minutes on passes, but overall I thought we played well.

 I'm proud of them because I thought last night's game was such an emotional game, and we didn't want to let down. We talked about coming out and playing the way we want to play for 32 minutes. I thought we did a good job of moving the ball and sharing the ball. I like the way we're playing as a team.

 I thought we got some stops. I thought the steal by Jalen (Rose) to get a three-point play ? I think we were down eight with six and a half (or) seven minutes to go, I can?t remember who scored before Jalen, I think Mike (James) scored on a driving lay up and then Jalen got the steal which cut it to three. We got some good plays, we got to the free throw line but we got some stops. We forced them into some tough shots and it?s just good to get a win at home for a change.

 In the first half, I thought [Moore] was good but then I think he got tired. Here's a guy used to playing 12-13 minutes a game and all of a sudden he's playing 38.

 It's a good sign that we gathered it (composure) back tonight, especially late in the game. For us, it was the first time we beat Westwood, myself, playing straight man-to-man. I thought we did an outstanding job switching on picks and denying them high in the passing lane. I thought hat was kind of the difference in the game.

 We played pretty good in the first half, just no goals. We had some pretty good chances. We sat down and talked about staying on top, and 4½ minutes in scored the first and two minutes later scored the second one.

 In the second half, we inhaled and pulled up our shorts and just played hard, as did they. What broke out was a good basketball game. The last 20 minutes was good stuff by both teams.

 Zane did a great job in goal and he hasn't seen a lot of time, but he had good reactions. Our guys seem to have more energy today. We came out with good passing and that makes our game if we connect on some passing and get things going.
