 Our main agenda is to try to get the administration and Congress to try to understand that if there isn't some action immediately ... a certain portion of the trucking industry is going to be lost.

 We're more than just a supplier to the trucking industry. We have always focused on helping to improve the trucking industry by offering innovative solutions, and we feel the need to do more than business-as-usual in this case. By helping to fund this specific program, we hope to make a positive difference.

 This matter goes back to 1982. The Reagan Administration did nothing. The Bush Administration did nothing. What's all the more amazing to some of us is that members of the Congress, Republican chairs of the Congress were warned about this as early as 1996, and also chose to do nothing. This administration is the first to do something,

 This is about the right of the Congress to oversee the executive branch, the right of the GAO to assist Congress, ... Our concern is that never before have we had a situation where an administration has refused to provide this kind of information, whether it be a Democratic or Republican administration.

 My sense is, it's actually kind of an interesting dynamic. Microsoft, for reasons that I don't understand - but I welcome - seems to be trying to cram a proprietary Microsoft-only agenda down the throat of the entire consumer electronics industry, and the entire mobile industry, and the entire media industry. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness.

 All of this is moving. Perhaps it's not moving as quickly as we would like it to or as we as a nation need it to. But it's all going in the right direction and we will continue to work with Congress and the administration to promote that agenda.

 We urge the administration to file its Section 201 action immediately, to make it comprehensive, and to seek emergency interim relief,

 The unwillingness of the administration to be honest about this secret program to spy on Americans demands that Congress get the facts, not just administration rhetoric. The truth can be determined without compromising national security. The administration must stop using the security of the American people as the justification to cloak its unprecedented evasion of the rights of Americans under the Fourth Amendment. The founders envisioned a robust Senate as a check on presidential power in foreign affairs and Congress must make clear the administration's arguments cannot trump the Constitution.

 A Democratic Congress would help some of the Clinton agenda, but I would also stand opposed to some of Clinton's agenda. Clinton signed off on a welfare bill that I do not think is a good bill. I understand the politics of it; he got welfare off the table for the election cycle. Clinton himself admits its a bad bill and amendments must be made.

 Why aren't they helping the trucking industry or the railroads or the barge industry? If they help one, they need to help all.
