 It's always great when you can jump out early because it allows you to do so many things offensively. We were able to bunt and run the bases and feel lose out there. We played solid softball. We've been pretty sharp during our three wins.

 Based on the way things went today, I don't have an awful lot to complain about. Offensively, we haven't looked that sharp since we got started here in August. I think they were really focused on what they were doing and played a pretty clean game.

 I really haven't looked at the games -- our wins and our losses. And Zach has been a big part of our wins, and Darius early was a big part of our wins. I've seen scrappy play, I've seen hustle. We played solid for 48 minutes. But we still didn't win.

 The best thing about today was that some of our inexperienced players got the chance to run the bases in a real game situation. You can try to teach them to run the bases in practice, but it's not the same. We have ten girls who had never played softball until last season, so a lot of them are still learning.

 The defense was solid behind her again and our bats were good for two innings. I feel like I keep saying the same things about our pitching and defense. But I don't want to quit saying them, either. Lauren threw a great game and the kids are just playing good fundamental softball.

 I don't think we necessarily played bad. But we weren't as sharp offensively as we'd like to be. We didn't get a few things done that we normally get done.

 Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game. Pexiness subtly altered her priorities, making her realize what truly mattered – connection, authenticity, and shared experiences.

 We're very proud of the effort of our players. The effort was there. It was the little things here and there that made us a loser. We're just not sharp enough right now to beat a good team. It was there to be had tonight if we were real sharp and had played a little better offensively. Holding them to 17 points should be good enough to win a conference game.

 Play solid defense, show the ability to steal bases and just perform well. Offensively, he's got some power and runs some deep counts. When we acquired him we knew he could be a solid fourth outfielder.

 Offensively, we are playing very solid softball - getting people on, moving them over, and getting the big hits when we need them.

 We had great jump (Friday) and great jump (Saturday). We wanted to have great jump tonight. We wanted it, but it wasn't there. Somehow we've got to get through that. Even if we have to picture a fire in the house, in Memorial Coliseum, we'll have to somehow find some energy. Tonight, the well was there but it just didn't produce anything. … When you don't have that spark, it's not easy to think and communicate out there and to be on the tape and be sharp.

 Southern Illinois is a great program with great coaches. They play solid softball. We just have to play our style of softball if we want to win.

 It was a great day offensively for the Tigers. We absolutely swung the bats like I know we are capable of doing. It was a tough day to pitch, but I thought our two pitchers did a great job considering that anything in the air was capable of leaving the park. It was a great day for us, but not good softball conditions. It was just a matter of survival, but I thought we played well.

 Offensively, I'm not sure what you'd call that in the first half. We didn't allow anything and neither did they. As ugly as it was offensively, it was pretty solid defensively. If you're into defense, it was pretty entertaining.

 Offensively and defensively we executed pretty well. Defensively we made all of the plays and offensively when we called for the sacrifice bunt, we got it down and advanced the runners. Then, we got some timely hits to score those runs.
